OT: Biggest Jackass in pro sports
While watching the NHL Playoffs I can’t help but think Brad Marchand is a huge Jackass. Game to game his antics are pretty ridiculous. In game 1 against CBJ he stepped on a guys stick to break it during a face off, this is small compared to his constant shit talking and the cool time he licked a dudes face. This made me think about others who have earned Jackass status over the years. Rick Fox of the Lakers has to be up there. I remember him nut checking guys and sticking his fingers in places they don’t belong just to annoy people. Robin Ventura of the Chicago White Sox could be on this list as well. Who would you add and why?

Bill Romanowski was, and probably still is, a renowned piece of shit. 18 years in the NFL and a four tool asshole:
- kicked opponents in the head,
- assulted teammates,
- made racist comments in the media, and
- implicated in the BALCO scandal while abusing PEDs.
Dick Butkus wasn’t much better, though.

You forgot to add his spitting in JJ Stokes face.
Make that a five tool asshole

Claude Lemiuex
I was at a dinner around 2000 or so -- a close buddy was playing for the Devils, and a bunch of the players and families had gone out after a game. Claude held the door for me on the way out the door. Every ounce of the lifelong Wings die hard in me wanted to say something. But a) while I am not small, he was bigger, unquestionably tougher (turtle or no) and even if he was drunk (which he was not) he could tear me in two and b) it would have been the most disrespectful thing in history to my friend, his family, his teammates, basically everyone there for me to have my moment of telling Claude off.
So I bit my tongue ... and it totally sucked. His common civility utterly ruined my night.

Nobody beats Rodman.
Nowadays there are many,
on every team.
April 28th, 2019 at 12:38 PM ^
I don’t remember Rodman getting into too much trouble when Chuck Daley was his coach at the Pistons. Or do I have selective memory? What Rodman became after he left the Pistons gave me new respect for CD for helping Rodman maintain some sense of control.
Also...Draymond Green
F-that. Rodman was weird, but probably not an asshole until he started hanging out in North Korea.
As a pistons fan my vote is for Michael Jordan. Smug look on his face. Probably o.k. in real life, but hated him as a Bull. Loved him as a baseball player....
Well, Jordan’s gambling habits got his dad murdered... allegedly.

Shannon Sharpe is the worst.

Jack Parkman. What a jerk wad.

Grayson Allen
Draymond Green
Grayson Allen is a punk bitch.
April 28th, 2019 at 12:32 PM ^
Can’t stand both Draymon Green & Mark Dantonio.
Izzo is also on that list. Biggest whiner I’ve ever seen in sports.

Roger Goodell

Will Purdue, Ron Artest (a.k.a Meta World Peace lol), Draymond Green, Dwight Howard and all the attention whore things that he did/does, any basketball player(s) that slap the floor, Derek Fischer, and Terrell Owens (talented but a head case).
Rick Pitino
Hard to believe no one has mentioned Johhny Manziel. I defended him while he was in college cause I thought he was making a statement against the NCAA, but as it turns out he's just a first class rich boy jackass. Need to mention Richie Incognito since no one else has.
Taylor Lewan. What do I win?
Magic Johnson
thread title made me think that im in pro sports
Maizen. Wait, what was the question??
Won't be a popular opinion but Tiger Woods should be on the list IMO.
Also, Rubens Sambueza in Liga MX and Rafa Marquez.
Lawrence Phillips was a capital-T-terrible human.
Aaron Hernandez was right up there with him.
Jayson Williams, the former Nets player, gets a nod.
Conor McGregor is a shitty person, and he's probably a supervillain.
I'm pretty sure that Bill Romanowski was a Hydra Agent, I'm sure.
O.J. Simpson. Guilty, not guilty.
Oscar Pistorius, the "Blade Runner," who killed his girlfriend.
But Phillips "needs the structure of football" according to Dr Tom when he let him back on the team after he beat up Scott Frost's girlfriend.
Forgot about blade runner.
Thought for sure this was gonna be a JJ Redick post
Chad johnson or Ocho sinco. Really no explanation needed
milton Bradley -king douche
terrell Owens -that’s my quarterback wahhh
Michael irvin-saw him push a kid away trying to get an autograph at pro bowl
i could keep going a lot of wide receivers Chris Carter too
Draymond and Le’Veon
LeBron is a class act outside of sports. Whether you like his on court personality is a matter of taste I suppose. A little whiny, but who isn't these days.
Connor Cook - perfect embodiment of a Mark Dantonio MSU player. When he won, he made sure to rub your face in the dirt about it and never let you forget it. An arrogant, smug, immature piece of shit. Was never even voted a captain of his own team, which tells you how he was viewed by his own teammates.
Terelle Pryor - hey man, everyone lies, murders, cheats, steals from you, steals from me. Skated circles around us for three years, but had the maturity level of an amoeba.
Draymond Green - guy has a screw or two loose, and I’m pretty sure if he was out driving and saw someone crossing the street wearing a Michigan shirt, he would try running them over. Good NBA player but a bit of a nutcase.
Surprised no one has really mentioned John Rocker. One of the biggest pieces of shit to ever come out of modern baseball. Extremely open with his homophobic, racist beliefs. Surprised he was never found face down in a gutter somewhere, with maybe around 20-30 stab wounds in his chest.
Tempted to add Robert Kraft to this list. I mean, the guy’s got urges, he’s a widow (I think) so he's not cheating on anyone, and I don’t think consensual prostitution should be illegal, but the law is the law, and he’s got the fucking audacity to plead not guilty. And he’ll get out of it because that’s how this world works. When you have money and power, some rules just don’t apply to you. He’ll come back to a standing ovation at Foxboro on opening night, and then get on his soapbox and tell us how despicable he thinks anyone is who kneels for the national anthem.
Kevin Garnett is well known as an a-hole and consummate shit talker. Still, I love the guy.
Kevin Garnett is a terriible person, but when he asked Carmelo if his wife tasted like Honey Nut Cheerios, that was an instant trash talk classic.
LeBron is the biggest jack ass in the history of American sports.
Laimbeer
Romanowski
Malkin
Sean Avery (ask Tim Thomas)
Favre
Lawrence Taylor
Such
Rodgers
Just to name a few.
Agreed: Michelle Malkin is the worst.
Gotta add Vontaze Burfict to this thread. Normally you don't root for someone to get a career-ending injury. I always hoped he would, because it would probably save several other guys from injury instead.
This is a great call. That dude is the absolute worst
The all time worst all time of any sport: Sergio Garcia
NBA all time: John Starks
MLB all time: Ozzie Smith
NFL all time: Jim McMahon
Not sure if there are many MMA fans on here but I immediately thought of Jon Jones. Could have been, and may still be, the greatest fighter of all time but his constant jackassery and PED abuse makes it hard to give him too much credit. You know you're an ass when you make Daniel Cormier seem likable.
To quote Nick Diaz "they're all on steroids" it's a dirty sport. Juiced or clean Jones is one of if not the best fighter of all time.
Also, Eric Cantona
In all of sports the biggest ass is Tiger Woods end of story. Doesn’t show it on the course but away from the game there is no bigger ass then him
I was so uncomfortable with everyone's positive reaction after he won the Masters. I was like, uh are we just gonna skip over the "ruined his family's lives" part or...?
He didn't ruin his lives of his family lol he got a divorce, big whoop. She got $100M out of it.
Pro athletes cheat on their spouses ALL the time. He was just outed.
He's changed, or so I've been told
Not sure about all time, but Draymond Green is #1 today.
