This will be the thread for hot takes regarding the defense in our game against OSU.

Last year, thought Michigan was going to lose after 1st half.  This year, thought we were losing when OSU went right down the field in the 3rd quarter to tie.

Very happy to be wrong both times.

I figured the DL would dominate, and the secondary was suspect.  But two huge interceptions told the story of the game—aided by a decent pass rush on the last one, of course.  Nice to see Rod Moore, who wasn’t good enough for OSU, end the game.

With OSU offense so loaded every play was a big play today.  The Defense made more plays than OSU and kept talented OSU to 24 points.  Will had a huge pic in first half, and Jalylen's hit caused Moore pic & closed the deal.  Mason had a nice sack.  Pretty sure the D Line was held a number of times, no calls, but they got it done.  11 & 0 without your HC on the sidelines for the biggest games of the year was heroic by all.  Better team and Defense won. Hope Will is ok soon. It was clearly a big loss when he went out but they perservered and won.  Go Blue !

They need to work on that thing where you keep your helmet on after a game ending turnover. Otherwise they played a helluva game against a talented squad.

Reminds me a bit of '97... bend but don't break. Today the two picks were obviously huge... I'd prefer they were able to lock down on the quick passing game a bit more, but there's no arguing with the results--one thousand and mother fucking one.

We often had trouble getting to McCord and stopping their run, but we had no real meltdowns and made some plays when we needed them. Ultimately it was enough to win given that the offense also had a reasonably good day.

Not one single thing to criticize. Defense carried the day and sealed the victory just as much as the 7 minute drive did. Great job to everybody. Beat Iowa.

Dear Mr Rod Moore, the D, and the whole team,

Thank you for the great win today! My blood pressure has returned to an acceptable level. I'm good to go for the B1G championship game!

First, I hope Will Johnson is OK.  Seeing him on the sidelines in the third quarter made me very uneasy.  MHJ is beyond for real.  Tip of the proverbial cap to that dude.  But the D gutted it out and sealed the victory.  I am 100% certain we got OSU's best shot on offense and we absorbed it and then took the game away from that offense at the end.  So proud of this Michigan football team.  You done good, guys.  REAL good!

'Member 2 years ago when OSU was crowing about getting the DC from the #1 defense in the NCAA when at the same time M "just" got the DC from Vanderbilt?!?  How is that working out for them?

I felt pretty confident throughout The Game - we scored first and they couldn’t match it.  We were up two scores a number of times and they just couldn’t make the stop they needed - but our D did and held them to field goals (and one beautiful practice kick!).

Then there was the was the plot twist right at the end when we couldn’t get the first down, but left them with precious little time on the clock.  Couple of long pass play just padded their stats and got their fans hopefully excited.  And then the dagger.  Awesome!!
