Good grief.  I know you are going but I guess my reaction is "too soon."  That play going back to pepcat leaves a horrible taste in my mouth.  For crying out loud, why are you running a play that won't work. Oh wait, throw against MSU would have worked had there been more height to it.

That is low.  They beat us by 23 and 29 the past two seasons with Michigan having much more functional offenses and defenses.  We could lose this game by at least 40 points this season because we are non-functional offensively and defensively.

In other words ... Vegas thinks the Bowling Green (+14) and Ball State (+15.5) basketball programs are drastically closer to Michigan basketball, than Michigan Football (+27.5) is to Ohio State Football.

I’m sure, when making this line, Vegas took into consideration a lot of information. Most importantly the facts that OSU has ability to score a lot of points while we have very few ways to do the same.

Give me a break with trying to throw in in a win from John Cooper’s last year to try and save some kind of face, that’s disingenuous as hell.

The turning point in the rivalry was when Tressel was hired and UM is 2-17, soon to be 2-18 if the game is played this year, since that event.

A .900 winning percentage for OSU over the last 20 fucking years. That is beyond disgusting.

You're worked up because he used the year 2000 as a starting point? Does 1 more win over 20 years really make that much of a difference? It's bad. Everyone knows it's bad. I doubt anyone is just waking up from a 20 year coma and checking the board to see what they missed.

Yes because it’s endemic of the attitude of the fans of the program. Let’s try and gloss over the fact that we haven’t accomplish shit in the last 15 years by throwing on some kind of meaningless past statistic as proof of our success. Like the ever popular “Winningest program of all time.”

Everyone knows current lopsided state of the rivalry was created by Jim Tressel being hired. Trying to slip in one more win by somehow arbitrary throwing in Cooper’s last year is some weak ass shit. If he’s going to do that, then why just not include the whole Cooper era and say “Well we’re actually 12-19-1 in the last 32 years, so it’s really not that bad”

Yeah perhaps, but even if it is because 2000 was a nice round year, I still think it’s pretty damn silly to toss in that win in Cooper’s last year when we are all painfully aware that the tide turned when Tressel was hired and made his quasi guarantee of victory over UM.

You think Sal's statement of "This is no longer a rivalry." implies that M has been holding their own? You've read comments on this site or others and came to conclusion that M alumni and fans believe things have been just fine in this rivalry?  Fascinating.

That’s all? I would’ve set the line at 35 easily.

There is not one single thing this Michigan team does well. There’s not one single thing they are even average at. They are going to get absolutely clobbered.

It’ll be over by the end of the first quarter.

I assume it's that low because sportsbooks don't know who could miss the game on OSU's side.

On a side note, Herbstreit and other clowns are trying to put the onus on Michigan to play next week when OSU chose not to play last week. I don't know if the B1G would've shut them down anyway, but they chose not to play last week. Their decision not to play put them in this situation, so they need to stop acting as if Michigan has some moral obligation to play them.

AND...how dang disappointing is it that outsiders wants Michigan to play OSU because the win is a forgone conclusion?

I agree with you, unfortunately.  I really don't understand the willingness to continue to prop up the lead horse when everyone will just continue to fall further behind.  The overall impact to the leagues if they don't play in the playoffs really is minimal, comparatively.  The benefit to the OSU machine is significant.  It just puzzles me, especially in light of this year.

+27.5? Uh...I need to go bet money on OSU covering that. OSU has beaten actually good Michigan defenses with a semi-competent offense by more than that

All bets are off when OSU wins by 3 touchdowns, 2 field goals, and half a safety.

Half a point? M's QB was almost tackled in the end zone so the refs give OSU a half point for effort.
