+1, I swear this happens every year, and I could've sworn there was a similar rumor in 2019 about Fields. Turns out I was right, this about a broken thumb on Fields' hand the week of the game 2019:

I mean, why wouldn't you let rumors like this leak out to "insiders" the week before The Game?
OTOH the rumor about MSU does raise the chances this a red herring just a bit. It would make sense if somehow both teams were exposed to something and now they're both having an outbreak.

We’ve had to play with a few backups and I could care less how we win. We almost beat them with Okorn and I don’t think they are putting an asterisk next to it. Still counts. A “w” is a “w”!

They didn't apologize for beating us in 2007 with a broken Henne and Hart, so I don't want to hear it. Besides, they have five star QB's sitting on their bench. I wouldn't feel sorry for them if *this* five-star QB has to miss the game.

I remember stupid people happy that Ohio State wasn’t upset by Maryland in 2018. They wanted to beat Ohio State for the division title. Well, OSU ended up winning the East. A win is a win, no matter what. I’m okay with cheating to get the win.

Yeah, QB is maybe the 3rd most important position for them at best on offense b/c of the talent around it. Their backup could’ve played this whole season and put up comparable numbers. If we win this game, it would be for the same reason regardless of who’s under center for them, IMO.

I would be shocked if Stroud doesn't play tomorrow. They'll pump him full of fluids and and anti-inflamitories. He would literally have to be on a ventilator for OSU to hold him out.

Supposedly, Stroud was seen boarding the bus WITHOUT a mask. If he had the flu, I don't think OSU would want him around the rest of their players. But, I picked this off of an OSU site so who knows what to believe from those BS artists
