All that could be true but I don't see him facilitating OUR offense to the tune it needs via the pG.  Ohio St. gets away with it with other ball handlers/athletes.  Hell Jaesean Tate (spellin??, sorry big fella) can bring the ball up for them when in a crunch.  We've Rahk and...Poole, who isn't in enough.  Matthews can't handle the ball well enough nor Livers nor Mo other than making a slick move to the basket with his mind made up (I would replicate that thought with Duncan).

Dakich is performing well for OSU and I'm happy for the kid and actually am rooting for him/them a times (I was last night and jumped when he scored that baseline layup!).  But his ball handling still leaves too much to be desired to get true minutes as a player in Beilein's particular offense.  Brooks handles the ball well and of course has his issues but I think an upgrade over Andrew on this team.  Simmons....clearly has not answered my rooting for him to finally click and has been a black hole.

to first in one year? It's really unbelievable how their coaching hires have worked out.  I'm hopeful that we can beat them at home in a couple weeks, but I truly doubt it happens.  They play a very physical style of defense with quick hands.  I don't think we'll be able to score enough to win.  Hope I'm wrong.  Also, I'm too depressed to look it up, but I believe Beilein has had little success against UOS even when they haven't been very good.

He's 7-15 against them if I've got my records right. We haven't beaten them since 2015. There was a three to four year stretch in there where we usually split with them, or in the 2013-14 season, swept them. But other than that, yeah his record against them has been pretty rough.

anyone else think Dakich looks much bigger this year?  I know we hear about camp Sanderson, but holy crap Dakich looks like he's 20lb heavier and more muscular than last year.

I think the easiest way for us to win the BTT is to face OSU in the semis and the winner of Purdue/MSU for the title.  If OSU finishes #1 and we can stay in the #4/#5 game (preferably as a #4 seed), we could have a good shot at repeating as tourney champs.

If MSU beats Purdue tomorrow, which is very possible, OSU can lose one more game and still win the conference.  My guess is we beat OSU, MSU beats Purdue, and the top three teams win the rest of their games.  That would mean the top three teams are: OSU, MSU and Purdue.

We just need to handle our business and win out.

Concerned about this season..Wisconsoin on the road no matter what could be bad news..THEN Iowa which is improving and only lost  by 3 to MSU, then OHIO St is the real deal and at Maryland and Penn St that are VERY good at home...we could be in real danger here

What's awful is that Michigan has the potential to beat all of them. When they play their best game, they can whip any one of those teams. We saw Michigan play like a Final Four team against Purdue and MSU. But when they have an off night, anyone can come in and shove them around like rag dolls. Minus the Purdue game, they've been awful ever since they played MSU.

If they play sluggish the rest of the way, especially if they play the way they played on Tuesday, they could legitimately be on the outside looking in come Selection Sunday.

When you take into account the entire state, maybe the Cleveland Browns are the sports team of Dorian Gray. Just look at the quarterbacks they've drafted in the first three rounds since returning to the NFL in 1999: Johnny Manziel in the first round. Tim Couch first overall. Brady Quinn in the first round. Brandon Weeden in the first round. DeShone Kizer in the second round. Cody Kessler in the third round. Charlie Frye in the third round. Colt McCoy in the third round. They traded for A.J. McCarron... sort of. They will probably take Josh Rosen or Sam Darnold with the first pick this spring... guaranteeing that the one left for the Giants is Peyton Manning to their Leaf. They've gone 0-16 and 1-15 the last two years. They've never been to a Super Bowl. They make the Lions look like a beautifully run, enormously successful franchise by comparison. That's a lot of accumulated sports karma. Now that the Cavs have their title, OSU apparently just scoops it up. There might be enough left for Kent State to beat Duke in the first round of the tournament this year, who knows? But that's a lot of suffering if you're a Browns fan.

Ugh. Don’t want MSU to end up winning the Big Ten. Even a shared title is too much for those bastards. Michigan needs to turn a corner because things are not looking good right now.

Of course they did. The stars always align for OSU wherever and whenever they need them to. Doesn’t matter what sport it is. Why would that stop now?

Calling it now: OSU’s entire bracket region all inexplicably comes down with IBD right before their matchups with OSU. OSU waltz’s its way to a Final Four to play for a national championship.

Funny how a team picked 12th in the conference goes on a run like this isnt it? OSU no less, meanwhile here's Mich looking like trash on the road at NW. When will it ever be Michigans time? Seriously, Will they ever be 12-1 in the conference? OSU depends on like 6 guys, they arent deep at all and still win every damn game

I live in Columbus and Holtman was in my undergrad class at Taylor Univeristy (a small liberal arts college in Indiana).  Just salt in the wound.  With NSD, yesterday was rough. Buckeyes on top of the world and I just have to watch it all day every day.

LOL. Of course they did. My god. Does any school have more luck with new coaches than OSU? So fucking annoying.

But I would love to see them coming into Crisler as high as can be and then seeing us shut them down.  We just gotta win.  Watched a bunch of old osu/Michigan classic football games this week.  Man, I miss those days when they would come to Ann Arbor ranked number two and we had the guys to flat out beat them.  Here's to hoping we turn it around (and soon).

in sports for me. Pats lose to Philly and now that trash can of a city is throwing a parade today.

Michigan plays one of the worst games of basketball ever and loses to NW. That game had our fourth sub-25 point half in the last seven games. Vomit.

Purdue, my sister and best friend's alma mater, loses to OSU.

To top it off, my furnace stopped working in the middle of the night last night! Woke up to the thermostat reading a balmy 51 degrees. Fuck this week.

OSU does have arguably the best player in conference in Bates-Diop, is well-coached with a good recruiting class behind this one, will likely win the BIG, win the BIG tournament, and hell, win the national championship in basketball and football this year.
