If you are going to use motion and jet sweeps and the like all year, use them in the damn game. Use them. Michigan was the better team. That's a bad loss

The puck six was 100% on Coach. Don't know why he thought it was a good idea to run play action out of his own end zone. You know they are going to blitz, you don't want your QB to turn his back to the defense in his own end zone, and you are asking the OL to sell run action, which makes holding more likely. It was a terrible call that put Speight in position to fail. He was hit as he threw, and failed.

No screen either. There's not enough room to work a good slip screen in because Speight can't keep backing up and drawing the defenders to him without stepping out of the back of the end zone. Run a little three step drop with a full slide protection and hit a slant or something. Gain yourself 3-5 yards and then run the screen if you want with that extra room to work. You know they're gonna bring pressure, so you probably don't have to worry about a linebacker jumping in front of your slant.

Pepcat only makes sense with NO  RBS in the backfield with him, and four TE to block... and the play action is the throw to one of the TEs.

Instead we have Peppers at QB with two rbs?  All that does is hone in the area where the ball will be.

And Harbaugh plays it too risky within his own 5 yard line... thats now two games lost because of it.

I love Harbaugh and we owe him everything, but the Peppers package was worthy of Borges at his worst. No innovation, no misdirection, nothing new in the biggest game of the year. That's on Harbaugh. Evne Herbie was like "M must be setting OSU up for something later." Nope, we weren't.

Really thought Harbaugh & Co were going to have a whole bag of tricks to pull out for this game.  Not sure if Speight being hurt had anything to do with it but we saw almost nothing new in this game

Kalis, Magnuson and Braden were solid late and not very well coached early in their careers but we need better offensive line play so I won't miss them at all. Haven't been able to run the ball in a big game or a big spot in 6 years.

running Smith between the tackles really started getting to me by the end. I love Deveon, but the blocking just isn't there... you gotta know when to go with what's working.
