I think you're on to something here. This game sort of reminds me of the ND-OSU game when ND just wasn't going - at any cost - to let OSU beat them deep as they were dropping their safeties the whole game which forced OSU to run the ball in the 2nd half - and they pounded it down NDs throat. By the end of the game that ND was exhausted. OSU is just as good running the ball with Henderson and that #3 (can't think of his name) as they are passing.

I think you see OSU forced - by Iowa - into a ground attack much like the ND game which will keep the score down - something like 28-7 ......31 -10 or thereabouts. I'm thinking OSU doesn't cover the spread.

Ohio State - Iowa is interesting. Iowa might give OSU's defense some trouble...but they also probably will not get into the double digits on offense

I'll take Clemson handily over Syracuse. Syracuse has looked fine, but I dont think they're hanging with Clemson

Based on how Iowa played Michigan, I think their defense is just too passive “do one thing well” to slow down OSU much. You need to take some risks and do some weird stuff to get them off the field. Suspect OSU moves the ball in smaller than usual chunks but basically at will, and wins something like 32-10.

That Penn State line feels like an overreaction. Minnesota is not good. Maybe PSU has a letdown, but that’s a must win game for them and they have the talent to do that. And at PSU at night? Should be a 12 point spread honestly.

I watched Syracuse play Virginia. My eye test says Syracuse is pretty bad. If it is competitive it is just another data point that Clemson is overrated and the ACC is terrible.

I don't think 'Cuse is going to win, but it would make me happy if the "ACC raid of the Big East" sees two late Big East teams win back to back league titles and make it look more like a "Big East takeover of the ACC from the inside out, next step: invite WVU and play more Thursday night games"

Iowa will be an interesting matchup for OSU - the Buckeyes should be able to house them but if they're dealing with injuries in the backfield I could see the Hawkeyes makes this annoying for a quarter to a half.  Illinois has a really good defense so I do think they made Minnesota look worse than they are but Penn St. is still a pretty good team and my guess is they show up after this performance.

TCU is 3-0 in 1-score games and one of them was playing Kansas's backup QB.  I don't have a ton of faith in KSU but they are good at keeping games close (4 of their 6 games have a margin of 9 points or less) and Martinez is dangerous running the ball.

Clemson remains an enigma to me - people made a big deal about them beating Wake and NC State but neither of those teams look like world-beaters and both gave Clemson all they could handle.  Syracuse is the least impressive undefeated team I've seen in a while but maybe they have some more magic?

I'm interested in the teams that are undefeated - and, the potential for a loss.  I believe there are nine (9) undefeated teams at this time.

We know that at least one undefeated team will have a blemish on their record when Saturday's football comes to an end. In no particular order.

1 and 2. Syracuse at Clemson.  One team will fall from the ranks of the undefeated.

3. The Bucks - have Iowa, and though the Bucks may not cover, they will win at home.

4. Tennessee hosts UT Martin.  No way the Vols lose this one.

5. Ole Miss travels to face Brian Kelly's LSU Tigers.

6. UCLA visits Eugene, Oregon and deals with both Game Day and the Ducks.

7. TCU hosts Kansas State.

8. Michigan gets to watch from the comfort of their "favorite place" as they prepare for the Spartans trip to Ann Arbor.

9. Georgia has a bye, and gets ready for Florida in the world's largest cocktail party on the 29th.

Enjoy...

Though UNLV lost at Cal (yes, Cal as in Berkeley) by six points earlier this season, they have a 4-3 record with the other two losses being at San Jose State and hosting Air Force.

It would be fantastic to see the Rebels reach down and find what it takes to leave South Bend with a win.
