Number 2. Make your argument

Dominate. Decisive. Georgia. Michigan. Make your case against these two.

Michigan is the 2nd best team in the country right now and thus, they should be ranked #2 next week.

That's what the poll is, ranking the best teams in the country.

In any expanded playoff, I want southern teams in the north playing games.  I am tired of their pussification with playing in games that are below 70 degrees and cloudy.  Football is played in any and all game conditions.  You got Clemson this morning complaining about the weather in South Bend.  The southern teams need a bubble to function in life.

Agreed. I always thought this was a great equalizer because Northern teams always either play on warm weather teams’ turf for bowl games or in controlled conditions that favor teams from more genteel climes. That is not an equal playing field.

You can see the difference it makes in the NFL where the Southern teams can’t run roughshod over everyone come playoff time because they have to go through teams that don’t play in such benign climates and have to contend with the elements or switch up their game plan to cope.

Almost 3 full quarters osu trailed or tied NW & they nowhere near as emphatically righted their ship. You’re probably right they won’t leap us over OSU, but based on today only, they should and it’s not even close. Rutger 4-5 East bottom dweller light years better than NWestern 1-8 West bottom. (Their game was in severe wind tho)

Unfortunately, I think Norte Dame beating Clemson probably solidifies OSU at #2 from a SOS standpoint (at least compared to Michigan). If it ends up being the case, OSU looks like the softest OSU team I have seen in a while. I am always for Michigan moving up due to their play on the field but the mental and superstitious fan in me wants us to be ranked lower the OSU going into The Game. Go Blue!

I think we deserve two with OSU making Northwestern of all teams look competent. However, inertia is in their favor and we probably don't jump them until we beat them.

OSU struggled for longer, against 1-7 in the West NWestern. Our struggle shorter, way more emphatically righted, against a far superior bottom of far superior East in Rutger. Easy case. (Don’t care if they see it though, which probably won’t: 2s get upset, often by 3s.)

When OSU played Notre Dame they weren't as good as they are now. OSU struggled with the worst team in the BigTen. We beat our common opponent PSU by more.

It's moot

GA #1

OSU or UM 2 and 3 whichever order  It's a play-in game in a few weeks.

TCU should be #4 eff the committee if its TN.  Bama if TX QB not hurt would be on 3 losses. So that sweet TN win at home while giving up 49 doesnt look great in retrospect.

Seems to be Zero difference if you are the #2 or #3 team in my estimation.

UGA will not lose a game until the playoff - to us hopefully.

M & Ohio game will be 2 vs. 3

Nebraska is our trap game.  Had this feeling for weeks.  This is their Super Bowl - entire season in one game.  And they seem to always play us tough regardless of whats going on with them.  Next week goes into 4th qtr with a scare.  Not worried about Illinois.

Nope. The Committee wants to make an example of us for our non-conference.  Frankly, I agree. If you want respect , don’t dodge UCLA for our schedule.  We went all in on being undefeated when we set this schedule.  So, we need to win out or SFTU.
