Our last title was in 2004!  Other than OSU, penn state, staee, and Wiscy have won multiple titles!  Has everyone forgotten this?  WTF!  If we were staee, yes those records would be fine, but we are not.  Harbaugh's best road win is against #20 Northwestern, when is this acceptable?  We are saying it is okay to lose to decent / good Wiscy or PSU or Iowa on the road every year.

3.8 is the answer.  3.8 losses per year on average over the past 30 years.

I hope that is a large enough sample size.  I can do more and it won’t make the number smaller.  Several more 4 loss seasons and a 6 loss season to offset the 10-1-1 1985 season.

but hey, Harbaugh is clearly the problem.

hearts lie.  Numbers not so much.

‘But legendary Llyod was amazing and won a National championship’.  5 conference championships.  Very true.

He also averaged over 3 losses a year.  He also lost to Appalachian State.

9-4, 8-4, 12-0, 10-3, 10-2, 9-3, 8-4, 10-3, 10-3, 9-3, 7-5, 11-2, 9-4.

Lloyd Carr was inducted into the Michigan Hall of Honor in 2015 based on a Spectacular 1997 season and a bunch of 3+ loss seasons.

I’m just trying to be fair and balanced.  That record is not substantially different than Harbaugh’s.

Good work.

Also worth adding that the program Lloyd took over and the one Harbaugh took over are not even in the same universe.

UM was a half-step from dead when JH took over and got UM back to its 'norm' in zero time. And that was no minor feat. OSU didn't wander in the wilderness for consecutive coaching hires the way UM did (I mean ONE subpar year between a step UP from Tressel to Meyers..wtf kind of punishments works out like that?)...the gap between the programs that was opened during the RR and BH years was massive and came at the worst possible time with the way CFB would soon consolidate around the 4 team playoff system.

And Nooooo...no one, not even the optimists are suggesting that everything is grand and we are 'happy'. People who run with that are the most disingenuous. Its not black or white. And not a soul on this blog is 'happy' about UM losing any games, continuing the wrong streak with OSU etc.

We would have made the proposed 12 team playoff twice under Harbaugh.

Would have been favored in a neutral site rematch against osu in 2016 in that playoff in spite of the loss in their stadium.

Were favored against osu in 2018.  Did we get our asses stomped?  Yes.  Is Vegas pretty good at setting opening lines?  Absolutely.

I don't think anyone is super happy with Harbaugh's results so far but I also think lackluster is a big (negative) exaggeration.

Cheers.

Could one of you who has a sub at TMI do me a favor? Hey, this is bluerick. 247 has me locked out since I changed internet providers on 7/9. I've called the 800 number and the rep tells me they cant help me because I'm a moderator. I have to use ermail. Now my problem is that email 247 has no longer works. I click "sign-in" and nothing happens. The favor I need is to copy and paste this in a messege to both Sam and Steve.  PS: Sorry to post my problem here but I don't. know how else to inform those guys, TYIA. GO Blue!
