They had to. Their home opener against Akron was cancelled due to bad weather, so this was a last minute scheduled makeup game.

Honestly, if I’m Nebraska I’m glad I have this game now against an overmatched opponent. First win last week, get another one this week to build some confidence and try finishing the season with a little bit of momentum.

They scheduled this game on Sept. 20 after starting 0-2 with the sole intention of picking up an easy win and getting bowl eligible.  They looked down the line and could easily see 6 losses.  Well they got their 6 losses.  Bowl aint happenin, but they can look back at their beatdown of a school with 3,500 students with pride.  I have zero love lost or sympathy for Nebasker or Frost.

They deserve to have this game. The Akron game was cancelled. And dont act like you hate Nebraska. We are all Nebraska fans the next 3 weeks. They play osu msu and our biggest rival Illinois. After that you can hate them again

MSU looking better than I thought against Purdue. Hard to ever actually root for them, but technically if they win it's good for us.

FSU looking decent against Clemson. long shot because Florida state is terrible, but they have the horses to put up a fight I think.

rooting for Wisconsin over Northwestern, if Wisconsin gets ranked again that's good for us. Northwestern's never going to be ranked.

I'm impressed with the B1G today.  I think there are a number of barely Top 25ish caliber B1G teams that will be knocking each other off.  Wisconsin, the Good Northwestern, Michigan State, Purdue.  We'll find out about Penn State and Iowa later today.  I'd place them slightly above that four team peloton.  Above them in my book is the execution-plagued OSU which has four-and-five starred its way to 16 to 25 point wins over bottom half B1G teams (Minnesota and Indiana), but got caught with its pants down against the Purdue team playing like a 25ish team..  And of course, at the top is playoff-caliber Meechigan.

Anyone else on YouTubeTV absolutely LOVING the live stream in the tile feature?

When tuning away from commercials you can see what's on another channel in the tile and avoid ones also playing commercials.

Infinitely more effective in just watching actual game time.

Watching Florida State and Clemson I'm honestly not impressed. FSU seems to suck less than they did earlier in the year, Clemson's play on the field isn't close to passing the #2 team in the country eye test yet.

I absolutely loved what they did to OSU last weekend but I have a feeling Purdue will not come close to looking that good the rest of the year.  That doesn't mean they can't win today...but they look pretty stupid so far.

Their secondary is leaving guys wide open a little too often.

Great catch called incomplete in the Northwestern-Wisconsin game.  Under review now.

edit: call overturned. Northwestern third & goal at the 1 now in a 7-7 game.

So Clemson up 7, after their FG attempt was wide, hope FSU can step up.

6-3 Sparty, how did this Purdue team eviscerate OSU?

Northwestern-Wisconsin is at commercial, but NU has 4th & goal at the half-yard line.  They lined up to go for it and Wisconsin called timeout, hence the commercial. Big play upcoming.

Edit: Wisconsin with the goal line stand.
