...or don't. I've never understood this idea that ANY program is dependent upon the signing of one 18 (or 22) year old kid. Shea is about to be as impactful as any one player could be. Gary is a beast. Winovich, Solomon, Hudson, Bush...Hill and Long, Higdon and Evans, DPJ and Black. My goodness, there is a lot to be excited about, regarding this team. If you still need a wake-up call, maybe you could use the sleep.

I’m not saying I wouldn’t have welcomed him and I not saying he would’ve sucked. But he would more than likely not have been the type of player that would’ve held an OSU DL at bay consistently. He played at Rice. Usually those kinds of transfers aren’t the difference for winning big games at the P5 level. Not going to apologize for calling a spade a spade.

Seriously, best of luck to him. I mean that. But I think his impact would’ve been minimal. At least in big games.

Herman is going gangbuster re-establishing Texas’s recruiting base/dominance. Texas just got a commitment from a 5*/#26 overall WR Jordan Whittington

Texas has the easiest recruiting job in the country (along with USC when they are not on sanctions).

The flagship program in a very talent rich state.

You don't even need to leave the state, recruits will come to you.

So he's choosing to be an undrafted free agent instead of a 3rd round pick.  Good for him.

Anderson was NEVER coming to Michigan.  No way he was going anywhere but Texas.  He got his 15 minutes of recruiting fame (which he earned) after being a Rice recruit.  He's an Austin kid.....can't blame him for picking the Longhorns.  He is an impressive young man.  Good luck to him.

This is disappointing but not surprising at all. I assume our OL for 2018 is Hudson-Bredeson-Ruiz-Onwenu-Steuber which sounds pretty good.
