New season, how ya streamin’

Now that football season is a week away, it’s time to bring back TV. What is the best streaming service?

I’ve had directvnow and Hulu plus live sports in the past. looks like pricing has went up across the board since I cancelled after football season last year.

what are you guys using this year? Any of the big names missing any sports channels we’ll need this season?

I used to use PS Vue and YouTube TV for years. Also dabbled with Sling and Hulu Live for trials or short stretches.

At this point with Comcast it's actually slightly cheaper for me to have internet + tv than internet and YouTube TV. Streaming has gotten too expensive with too many channels and comcast internet prices suck as a standalone.

I recently moved to Hulu live, Disney +, and ESPN + for $69.99. I was already paying for the three services but without the live, so I went up $55 and got rid of my Suddenlink cable.  Kept their internet, though at 74.99 for 100 Mbps.  I hate them.

I’m probably in the minority but I have had directv for the past 10 years and am very satisfied. They have had great customer service.  I have paid 25 bucks a mo for 2 years straight and was never locked into a contract

Comcast.  I learned quickly when we went remote at work that I needed to go back to Xfinity wifi or I was going to throw my laptop through a window.  And Comcast's internet prices are outrageous standalone.

hulu.  price is right, channel line up is right, but it has very bad functionality and virtually no ability to channel surf - unbelievably slow.   although, part of that might be because we have the worst internet service in the western world (warning:  slight exaggeration)

Anyone able to recommend an option that allows you to record or DVR or "tivo" the games?  And you can use it from outside the US?

I've been using a slingbox for the past 7 years (hooked up to a TV in the US) and it finally kicked the bucket.

I feel you. I tried Sling early in its life and found the streaming quality to be bad. Then I had DirecTV and I was consistently overcharged, leading to monthly phone calls with customer service reps who had no record of my prior phone calls. I have vowed to never give ATT another penny. I was probably going to get YoutubeTV before they raised their prices. Now I'm with Hulu.

I only dropped directv because of the att acquisition. I've always hated that company due to some erroneous billing that messed up my credit score when I was younger and caused me to likely pay thousands of extra dollars in interest on student loans, etc. Unfortunate because I really liked directv. psvue was my favorite streaming service. Sling lagged badly for me too. Could never watch the walking dead without it freezing up. Youtube tv was alright but they jacked up prices too much too fast. We'll see how hulu works out I guess.

streaming prices Have definitely risen, but I think the biggest advantage of steaming is actually getting a slightly cheaper price with the lack of a contract. I can basically just have tv during football season with this setup and not worry about cancellation fees

Actually, am in the process of moving to Ontario, Canada.

Will be in the London area and haven't a clue what's available, or how to see games in this or future seasons. So am very interested if anyone has suggestions here. We are presently set up for cable from a company called Rogers, but seems rather lacking for US sports programming.

DISH for me.  We camp quite a bit and they have an easy to use portable set-up as well.  Probably overpaying but don't care.  The streaming stuff we have dabbled with just didn't have the quality or reliability I'm used to.
