New OL analyst, Kyle DeVan, hired by UM football.
Kyle is a former NFL offensive lineman. Good move

Looks like he spent 5 years in the league as a Guard, plus some coaching background with the Saints, Ball State, and Arizona.
Whether we paid him or not, he was going to show up because he's sick of living in DeVan down by the river.
E for effort
A for affort
I believe it's spelled Kyled Evan
Maybe if Jim hires 20 OL analysts the OL won’t suck.
Meh... He would still have to listen to them.
I’m left wondering what the impact of analysts has been. Michigan looked so unprepared for opponents last year, what could possibly have been analyzed? Similarly it’s hard to find any improvement that could be a function of self-scouting.
Could analyze why UM was not prepared
So...he's an analyst who's been hired to analyze the analysts who are supposed to be doing the analyzing?
These guys are pretty low in the pecking order. I don't think a great analyst is moving the needle in terms of wins and losses and neither is a poor one.
Going from OL coach for the last 5 years to analyst isn't exactly a great sign, although maybe Fisch gave him a recommendation.
Analysts, to my knowledge, have no say in the recruiting process, and don't officially take part in any of it. These are the guys who are just breaking down practice and game film, identifying themes and areas that need to be addressed, and presenting that to the coaches so they've got a better idea of what needs to be worked on in practice.
OSU probably has at least 3-5 analysts who were hired strictly to break down Michigan film. Just kidding, but kinda sorta not really.
Analysts are VERY involved with the recruiting process. They can't recruit off campus, but they're very involved in the process.
