MSU added Tate Myre as an honorary member of their recruiting class

Very classy thing to do.  Michigan honored him on the field and MSU is making sure the story stays relevant and doesn’t fade to the background.  Plus what the women’s team did really good showing from Michigan higher education.  Sports are bigger than sports.

Very nice move on their part.

(HOWEVER, when Michigan honored him at the B1G Championship game and brought in his family, a bunch of little brothers were calling it a tasteless move and that Michigan was just being soulless opportunists.  So …)

I saw RCMB posts attempting to trash Michigan for supporting Myre and the other slain Oxford students.  According to some of them, Michigan somehow was classless for honoring Myre at the B1G championship game, even though Myre's family seemed to greatly appreciate the gesture.

Regardless, I will assume that most MSU fans took this in the spirit in which it was intended, and I'm sure MSU probably would have done something similar had they been playing that weekend.  We similarly should applaud MSU's gesture here, and I'm glad to see that Michigan fans are doing so.

MSU Fans absolutely trashed Michigan's move at the B1G Championship and called it classless.  Granted it's the underside of the pooper cooler, but RCMB was leading the pack of people labeling it as such.  They are so delusional that they think Michigan will now copy them because we're unoriginal.  Never mind they were honored at the Championship game...

Cool, but this kind of thing will never be 1/10000000th as impactful as voting and fighting for actual change. The people who create the circumstances that lead to this kid dying love that people do this and make it seem like an unavoidable tragedy.

Classy move. By both schools. As a person with fist hand knowledge of this the myre family had a great time in Indy. Tate was a huge MSU fan and wanted to go there. The Oxford football team got to visit MSU this past weekend and tour the facilities and attend the basketball game there. Coach Tucker spoke to them in the locker room. No need to bicker about little brother now. Just accept that this was a nice move. Ignore the rest.

Likely did that to counter the negative image they got from pulling that injured players scholi. Nothing they do is due to being good people.
