No links. No added information. This is getting nuked.
He's probably referencing noted clickbait troll Anthony Wright.
Supposedly T-will is considering transferring. He has removed a lot of the UM info on his instagram. Bufkin has been a candidate all season so he could be a possibility. Right now, the roster is in a state of flux and looks like this:
Definite (9): Dickinson, Barnes, Tschetter, Jace Howard, Jett Howard, Reed, McDaniel, Glenn, llewelynn
Draft (2): Diabate, Houstan
Maybe return/transfer (3): Collins (declared portal, could come back), Williams (not declared for portal), Bufkin (not declared for portal)
I'd say there is 0% chance that Frankie returns.
Either he thinks he can get more NIL opportunities elsewhere, he's mad that Llewellyn is in the fold, he's mad that he didn't get handed the keys from the second he stepped on campus, he just has general wanderlust (this will be his fourth or fifth transfer since beginning HS), or he and his circle think he's better than he is. Whatever it is, there's no way he's coming back.
I agree, but wanted to put that there for accuracy. I like Frankie and in time I think he could have been a more athletic version of Simpson, but it would have been crazy to hand him the keys to the offense last year or give him the reigns this year with no backup. Getting llewellyn was important. Supposedly Frankie's transfer has been in the works for a while so maybe this is isn't directly related to llewellyn news and he's upset about something else
T-Will has his Michigan posts back up on IG.
Portal deadline was today for immediate eligibility so if T-Will hasn't declared for it, he most likely will not and I doubt he wants to sit a year
Deadline is midnight
The deadline to enter the transfer portal and remain eligible for the 2022–23 season is Sunday, May 1.
He hasn't been wrong about pretty much anything. Unfortunately.
More downvotes coming for OP? If true, that’s very sensible.
More posts with wild speculation and no substantive support?
If true, this is just ridiculous...
If what's true? More attrition?
Matte, do better
I'm waiting for Glossy's counter post.
I like the even keel of Satin's posts. Decent stripper as well.
Dude’s walkin’ on eggshells.
A post like this at 4:32 AM? Either go to bed or go back to bed. Geez...
And stop drinking?
In fairness, though, *maybe* the OP is halfway around the world so the time of posting such a message isn't pathetic. Maybe. (I'm extrapolating from his username meaning "wait please" in Japanese.)
Some of my best shitposting comes at 4:30am.
I believe they have until 11:59 p.m. tonight.
That is correct, they have until 11:59p. This deadline is only for the onetime transfer rule. They can still transfer after today but they’ll have to sit out a year.
they are not allowed to leave now
Thats not true. You can leave whenever you want. The deadline is only for immediate eligibility
This is true, though I wouldn't be surprised if the NCAA is liberal with post-deadline eligibility waivers for one more transfer cycle.
shocking report by MGoBlog user Matte
This post is just ridiculous
Enjoy your downvotes
Robert Fripp and the rest of the lads in King Crimson are bummed at the lameness of this post.
In the Court of the Crimson King?
Well - Matte Kudasai was a song during the Belew/Levin/Bruford version vs the Giles/Lake/Collins version.
but collectively they shake their heads in sad, glum disappointment.
Clearly "we" have arrived at a new place with a new, on-going reality.
I too am quite surprised by Frankie's decision. If he is threatened by the roster moves that have been made-then so be it. But from the outside looking in this is disappointing.
good lord, go to bed.
Causing trepidation
Fueled by speculation
Of more Men’s BB attrition
Might require some contrition
The remedy of course is
To cite some valid sources
When you’re only just surmising
Down votes can’t be too surprising
Gotta say, I’m glad players have the ability to move to another school much easier, but it does make you have to root for the “laundry” much more than players. Best of luck to this young man.
very perplexing
I love this picture... and very appropriate... Isn't this mess of players transferring and leaving early for the pro the exact reason Beilein left........? All he wanted to do was coach...
No links. No paraphrasing.
very very poor post.
Basketball not in a good place. Whether more guys leave or not, things seem way too in flux. I'm not entirely sure why, but it ain't good
I don't think we know that. Jet just won mvp at the Iverson tourney, with people saying he looks like a potential NBA star. Reed also looking like NBA material. Llewellyn in the fold. Dickinson returning. If Houstan is returning, we are likely regarded as a pick to win the B1G. Yes, there is considerable flux. But the truth is that Frankie wasn't a certainty to start.
In simpler terms, does it seem like more people are running to our running from the program?
We could field an adequate team next year but it feels like other than hunter, everyone has one foot out the door.
Forget the original post... It's been noted in other threads.
Is that unique for us? All the top Big Ten teams are losing a lot of players. It's the nature of college basketball, most guys are gonna dip their toes in opportunities either at the next level or at a different school because they can.
It comes with the territory when you recruit well and attract good transfers. This is what blue bloods have to deal with yearly. That's the goal -- to get to that status. There's a reason none of those blue bloods go back to recruiting less talented players and hope to build a program full of 3 and 4 year players. In the modern state of college basketball, you just acquire as much talent and see where the pieces fall. It seems harsh, but if a player even has a snowball's chance in hell of getting drafted, they're gone. So it goes both ways. If Frankie was a stud freshman and left for the draft after one year, we'd all be happier, but there'd still be a hole in the roster next year.
I'm sure fans around the country feel this way. It's a result of the changing landscape. I'd say our basketball program is not only in a good place, but among the nation's best. Five straight Sweet Sixteen appearances is no joke!
We're not mind readers; assuming this is about Frankie Collins. One more sentence wouldn't hurt. Besides, Seth has a post about this.
Noted clickbait Twitter troll Anthony Wright has hinted that Michigan may see additional attrition. Kobe has been rumored to be on the fence for a while and now TWill has popped up in those rumblings.
Except he hasn't actually said any of that. He just posts emojis, gifs, or text convos with the pertinent info redacted. IMO, whatever valid information he has is completely negated by the way he goes about it.
You seem to have feelings about former Michigan basketball player Anthony Wright, huh.
Heh, I do. For example, in one of his Spotify Live things he stated without any caveats that Emoni to Michigan was done. Now he's backtracking that faster than Usain Bolt and saying that he meant Emoni wanting to come to Michigan was a done deal. He often has solid info but his method of dispersing it is annoying.
Illinois and Minnesota are ridiculous. Michigan’s situation is fairly tame in today’s game.
Minnesota's situation is not really comparable. It lost players during the coaching change from Pitino to Johnson. Since then it's had to rely on incoming transfers just to field a team. From what I can tell in Illinois, the players there are transferring out because there has not been a coaching change . . .
