Mo Wagner Legacy:

Submitted by FatGuyTouchdown on

A question I was pondering last night after the game:

Is Mo Wagner a "Big Game In A Win" away from being considered in the upper echelon of Michigan basketball players like Glen Rice, Trey Burke, and Cazzie Russell? This is assuming he doesn't come back, and Monday is the last game we see him play.

Webber is by far the best I ever seen at UM and he played while Rice was fresh in my mind.

Let's not forget that Burke had the ball in his hands on every possesion which is huge in JB's offense. It's not like we're posting up Wagner to give him easy buckets and put backs to pad his stats. For a big he usually earns everything he gets.

I'd say Rice and Russell are in a different league than Burke, and Burke is well above Wagner - no matter what happens tonight.

Russell won the Big 10 title (real title, not tournament) every year he played at Michigan, made the final 4 two out of three years (one lost championship game), averaged 27 points a game for his career, and was national player of the year as a senior... then the #1 draft pick.
