Dollars to donuts Valenti will spend the next three months talking about this so that he doesn't have to talk college basketball.

A very good hire for many reasons!

Didn’t really care when the rumors started, but now that it’s official I’m excited for this. Im glad Jay is staying, he’s a good coach and gets shit for no reason. I doubt Hart significantly elevates the position as I think Jay did a good job, but I’m really hoping he just brings some fire and enthusiasm that resonates with everyone. Maybe he will even lights a fire under coach as well.

This is a good hire. For those of you worried about stats, consider the Indiana OL versus ours. If Hart performs at a similar level, you'll see a jump in results over what he did at Indiana.
Jay has done a good job, so him staying around is good too.

What took so long? Bringing some much needed fire!

Happy to have Mike Hart back!

Question for those more knowledgeable, will Mike help recruiting in Michigan and Ohio?

I looooove some Mike Hart!!! I am hoping that Jay stays as he is underrated. Has it been confirmed he’s going to ST?

Hopefully Mike adds his attitude to the running back room, Not sure who is responsible for deciding when a back gets carries in a game and how many carries a game they get, But unless that gets fixed it doesnt matter who is coaching them, I am suprised that we are able land good recruits at this position, considering they may average less than 10 carries per game.
GO BLUE

I don’t even know how to feel about this. On one hand I’m ecstatic that Hart is back in the big house but at the same time will that be enough to save harbaughs job and what happens if harbaugh gets canned? Does hart stick around or what? So many questions going into 2021 and zero answers from 2020. My stance on harbaugh is already obvious but I do want Michigan football to succeed. I just hope I can watch the football team play with as much energy as the basketball team in big games again

Not to put the cart before the horse here. But to say just how significant of a hire this is. If Harbaugh is out next year or soon after, the next coach has to retain Hart. He means so much to Michigan. He will bleed maize and blue. He will be as passionate about the university and the football program as any coach in recent history and it will rub off on players and recruits. This is an outstanding hire and so meaningful.

Excellent hire who PLAYED the position and will know who and when to fucking rotate in. He will bring a much needed fire to the program. Let's hope a new defensive staff will follow suit on this hire

Welcome home Mike Hart!! According to Sam Webb this morning, he's a very good recruiter of RB.
Mike Hart will also bring that sideline enthusiasm that is very badly needed. It looks like this a destination job for Mike Hart. May he have a looong run here at Michigan on the coaching staff.
