Michigan Wolverines Confidence Picks
Pick every game for the week, placing a “weight” from 1 through 12. The more points assigned to a pick, the more confident you are that Michigan will win.
A Utah (Sept 3)
H Oregon State (Sept 12)
H UNLV (Sept 19)
H BYU (Sept 26)
A Maryland (Oct 3)
H Northwestern (Oct 10)
H Michigan State (Oct 17)
BYE
A Minnesota (Oct 31)
H Rutgers (Nov 7)
A Indiana (Nov 14)
A Penn State (Nov 21)
H Ohio State (Nov 28)
Since I have proven my innocence, I'll have time to keep track of this throughout the season and calculate for everyone that plays. For each correct pick, you receive the number of points assigned to that pick. Games are picked “straight-up”, a point spread is not utilized. Winner gets one upvote in honor of Helen Kimble.

Hoke found a way to botch the bye weeks leading up to MSU the last two seasons so, it is possible.
We were consecutive 4-Year Practice Champions!!

What makes you fear a week 6 home date with Northwestern over a road opener against Utah?
Your inquisitive nature is perfectly reflected in your avatar. ^1

Pretty confident we'll beat UNLV, Rutgers, and Northwestern at home.
After that it feels like a complete crapshoot. This team just has so many questions, but seems like it could potentially have answers. Can someone like Isaac or Higdon turn RB from weakness to strength? Can some combo of Cole/Canteen/Harris seriously upgrade the WR corps? Can Butt/Hill take TE from weakness to strength? Will each guy getting a little better (and does that improvement happen) result in a quantum leap across the board for the o-line? Do we have any pass rush without Clark and Ryan? Is Peppers ready to be the real deal and a difference maker for the defense as a whole? Will we regret losing Countess at some point?
I could honestly see anything from 5-10 wins depending on how those scenarios play out.
Be good.
Just looking at the teams I think Michigan should be the favorite in at least 7 maybe 8 games this year.

Both Utah and BYU are borderline top 25 teams and can be dangerous. Utah is away which helps gives them an edge. BYU is going to have a great offense led by potential heisman canidate Taysom Hill (assuming he is fully healthy). Should make for great games.

They haven't been a program to have 3-4 bad years in a row since Riley/Erickson took over. Coming off a mediocre season two years ago and a bad one this past year, I wouldn't be surprised if they are back in the middle of the Pac-12 standings (which would almost certainly put them ahead of us). They'll also be sky-high for the game and probably overlooked by most folks in maize&blue.
Read the diary I just put up on Oregon State. They might finish last in the Pac 12 this year.
You of all people will remember what happens when you change staffs /systems from pro style to spread with a QB who has never taken a NCAA snap. And marry it with a crap defense. It's call 2008 Michigan.
Oregon State is just fucking weird. They should really always suck (and used to for decades) but it seems like every time I want to write them off they are there to be a pain in the ass. As a Carr-era UM student (Pac-10=nightmare) and a Carroll-era USC student (lost in Corvalis in 2006 to a team that was 4-3 at the time and in 2008 the only loss came against a 1-2 OSU team).
I'm clearly not being objective, but I will never take those fuckers for granted ever.
I like the staff they put together long term. Just a tough place to build depth and aside from rb and wr they are mediocre to bad to inexperienced everywhere. While both the offensive and defensive systems are being changed. With QBs who have never taken a NCAA snap.
I'd be scared of the other cellar dwellars in the Pac 12 because they all have dynamic offenses - WSU, Colo, and Cal. OSU looks a lot like Indiana last year after they lost their QB.

For all the naysayers with regard to the MSU game, while our record hasn't been good against them for the last two (terrible) coaches, do recall that they haven't beaten us in A2 in five years. Yes, five years. I like our chances. Maybe not as much as beating UNLV, but I'm fairly confident we'll get the job done.
Because we have only played them once at home...and didn't score a touchdown.
DM;won 12-10
we scored a touchdown last year (somehow) so we are moving on up now!
edit: I still dont think we will beat them this year but I expect it to be competitive unlike the last 2 years
