Oh Boy.

I like Dickerson's game on offense and defense. They skills he has are the type that can be very consistent, which will really help stablize this team.

Mike Smith looked really good in the PG role

And Chaundee Brown? Holy moly. Looked up his recruiting and he was ranked 36th in the country. Of course he won't usually shot like this, but wow his game looks good for exactly what Michigan needs: good outside shooting, athleticism, flexibility, can push the ball to the basket, decent passing.

These three unknowns were great. I'm excited.

Brown can be a bit similar to Matthews. Long and versatile. I see more offense from Brown and he obviously won’t be the defender Chuck was but I still see him as a plus defender

I know it’s just Bowling Green, but they’re picked to win their conference this year. They’ve got plenty of returning experience and some guys who can flat out play. They’re not elite, but they’re not a pushover.

It’s a good start for sure.

Mike Smith: 16 points, 8 assists.

Chaundee Brown: 19 points and 5/7 from 3 (rest of team: 5/19).

Hunter Dickinson: 11 points, 8 rebounds.

I like the new guys.

Solid win.  Not as close as the final score - that Diggs guy kept them somewhat close.

Michigan seems to have a good combination of experience and talent this year.  I am excited.

A great showing by this team. Everyone played well, but what struck me most was the effect of the new guys. Brown and Dickinson aggressive and scoring the basketball -- we've been missing that for a while. Mike Smith as facilitator. Williams contributing. Don't misunderstand - I know that last year's guys played well, but the new guys stood way out.

My reaction was wow, we can score the ball now. Less possessions seem like hard work. Definitely great to see!!

I thought our passing and rebounding were outstanding.  Lots of quality depth on the bench ready to go!  A few too many bricks from 3 point land, but that should get better.

The new guys -- wow. Brown looks like a crafty veteran and Dickinson did not play like a freshman. He's got skills. And Smith, though a bit of a defensive liability, looked fully in control.

Since last year I watch every game and think THIS will be the game when Franz breaks out. But it never seems to quite happen. Yet. I hope.
