Cool! So looking forward to the start of basketball, both the men and the women; I think both programs are going to have a lot of success this year.

Houston is so smooth.
October 15th, 2021 at 7:21 PM ^
Yes -- I noticed how perfect the arc on his shots looked.
Thanks, OP, for posting this. Fun end to the work day ...

It's Houstan - not spelled like the city in Texas.
October 15th, 2021 at 11:05 PM ^
+1...pet peeve
October 16th, 2021 at 10:15 AM ^
You know a lot of people named Houstan?
October 15th, 2021 at 11:29 PM ^
Is he #22? That guy shoots like butter!
October 15th, 2021 at 7:15 PM ^
That has an old school fundamentals vibe to it.
October 15th, 2021 at 7:30 PM ^
If we have a few consistent shooting threats spreading the floor, the athletes Juwan is stacking this team with are going to feast!
Can’t wait!!
October 15th, 2021 at 7:58 PM ^
Houston very smooth but Kobe Bufkin stuck out to me as well, I was like "WHO IS #2???"
October 15th, 2021 at 8:18 PM ^
Haha same. Went and looked at the roster to confirm. Nice when you have two freshmen shooting like that. Also, Moussa is huge.
October 15th, 2021 at 8:55 PM ^
OMG. Both of these guys gets the basketball adrenaline pumping.
October 15th, 2021 at 8:29 PM ^
What a shot Houston has. Ball barely touches the net.
October 15th, 2021 at 11:05 PM ^
Houstan, we have a problem!
October 16th, 2021 at 8:39 AM ^
Looking forward to reading variations of this for the next couple years.
October 15th, 2021 at 8:39 PM ^
What fun to see. Thanks for posting.
October 15th, 2021 at 8:48 PM ^
We never get to see him shoot, but Isaiah Barnes looked taller than I expected. Whether comparing him to Coach Howard when he walked behind Barnes in the first 15 seconds of the video or in the last few seconds of the clip when Isaiah is rebounding for the noticeably shorter power forward Williams. Perhaps he is a guy that plays some 4 over the next few years.

Random observations:
The difference in form between the pure shooters and the uh not so pure shooters is striking.
Practice looks like fun tbqh.
Tschetter has a remarkably low release point. He'll need to be open to get it off.
I know it's been said but Houstan and Bufkin looked great shooting.
October 15th, 2021 at 9:40 PM ^
+1 for spelling Houstan correctly
October 16th, 2021 at 7:22 AM ^
It’s gonna happen a lot simply because of autocorrect will catch it and it looks close enough.
October 15th, 2021 at 9:10 PM ^
26 more days will seem like forever. Can't friggen wait.
October 15th, 2021 at 9:25 PM ^
Made my day. Just makes me so happy to see our basketball guys doing basketball things.
Hunter is going to frickin' love playing in front of a crowd at Crisler.
Thanks, OP!
October 15th, 2021 at 9:34 PM ^
Dang Bufkin's shot look almost as good as Houstan's
I wouldn't be surprised if Bufkin got some pretty meaningful minutes, as long as he can play passable defense
October 15th, 2021 at 10:01 PM ^
first time seeing the new guys shooting, so very cool.
As others noted, Houstan looks pure, Diabate has a bit of a low catch point (which was noted in the Athletic)...can't tell a lot obviously, but its great to see kids getting ready for the season.
very excited for it.
October 15th, 2021 at 10:18 PM ^
I think I'm to the point now where I'm not worried about Howard's teams at all. He's going to make us a consistently strong contender each year.
October 16th, 2021 at 11:18 AM ^
I think Juwan has us in that spot where we're just a recruiting home run from a Final Four every year. The recruiting foundation is in place for yearly top-3 Big Ten finishes, and we just need to hope someone turns into that Jalen Brunson, Trey Burke, Jalen Suggs, etc type who pushes us over the top. Sort of like how the difference in college football is whichever team has the Watson, Burrow, Tua type at QB, who pushes the roster of 4* and 5* guys to a title.

Very nice, of course, although did the embedded video from MLive really get posted in such a small frame size? I had to go to full screen because I am old and wear progressive lenses.
In all seriousness though, practice looks rather fun, and yeah, the excitement for the season is definitely perceptible around here.
October 15th, 2021 at 10:59 PM ^
Hunter seems a lot thicker. Nice chill flow to the music accompanying the video.
October 15th, 2021 at 11:32 PM ^
Hunter's shot from three actually looks pretty good. It even dropped a couple of times! If he could hit 1 or 2 per game out there...
October 16th, 2021 at 2:21 AM ^
I see you Caleb Houstan draining those consecutive 17 footers.
October 16th, 2021 at 11:11 AM ^
From what I'm reading on this thread, him and Houston are going to be a lethal combo.
October 16th, 2021 at 7:27 AM ^
Will Tschetter shoots exactly how I would envision someone with his name would shoot.
October 16th, 2021 at 11:10 AM ^
Tschet shot
October 16th, 2021 at 11:33 AM ^
Those big, clunky white guy shooters have been killing us at Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin long enough. I’m ready to return the favor. Stand back and let ‘em rip, Will!
