Seriously, if I'm following you ... you want us to play the game normally for 58 minutes, build an insurmountable lead, and then, in garbage time - when most casuals have turned the game off - engage in this bizarre protest that would cause us to forfeit a game we've already won?
What would be the point of playing those first 58 minutes, then? If you're going to protest, you do it at kickoff, to get maximum attention.
Regardless ... I'd rather just stick to the plan of beating their brains out and then have heartfelt postgame interviews that make neutrals sympathetic to us.

As I noted above I think we should forfeit the game in protest anyway. You think they'd make us forfeit after the 3rd or 4th delay of game? Is that in the rules? I was assuming they'd just call delay of game over and over again.
But yeah I also like the idea of a forced forfeit of a game as transparent televised punishment of a protest after we have obviously won the game itself. Ok with me if you think it's good that I am not in charge of anything, but I think it'd be a very clear protest that got tons of coverage and forced the Big Ten to reckon with the damage they're doing here.

The thing I'm struggling to understand here is why you'd have the players play normally (and possibly risk injury for OSU) for 58 minutes and then protest during garbage time. That seems completely backwards.
If you want to make a stir, you don't play the game at all.

“As I noted above I think we should forfeit the game in protest anyway.”
This is one of the dumbest things I’ve ever read here, and I’ve been here since 2008.

Your comfort with submitting to arbitrarily wielded authority is why the Big Ten can get away with this.

I saw this as someone who's written way more impromptu Jim Harbaugh fanfic than is healthy and sane in this space (and to be clear, the amount that is healthy and sane = zero), but...
This is an absolutely bananas terribad idea.

Your plan is okay, except for one overlooked thing…it sucks. Better idea, how about we beat Maryland and OSU instead?

Every team except Purdue can still win the B1G West but some scenarios will take a lot of magic. Northwestern is +50000 to win the West. It will take:
- Illinois over Iowa
- NU over Purdue
- Minnesota over OSU
- Wisconsin over Nebraska
- Nebraska over Iowa Nov. 24
- NU over Illinois Nov. 25
- Minnesota over Wisconsin Nov. 25
That is the only way to get a three way tie between Iowa, Northwestern, and Minnesota. They would all be 1-1 against the other two but NU would have a 4-2 West record compared to 3-3 for the others.
Iowa can make my whole spreadsheet a moot point by winning one of the last two games. Funniest scenario is Iowa losing their last 2 games and all the other teams tying for second.

Ignore the +50000. It’s an old number

PSU 19.5 over Rutgers? If I were into gambling, I would take Rutgers and the points.

Funny....
we beat Minnesota by 42 points on the road, and OSU is only favored by 28 when at home.
OSU beat Maryland by 20 at the Whore's Shoe....we're favored by 21 on the road..
But they're ranked #1 in the CFP...

The nuts beat three loss ND that played 10 men on the field.
Oh, and OSU is tough.

Just hoping Minnesota can give Ohio State at least a three, maybe even a four-quarter game on Saturday.

Thinking of smuggling this banner into the Maryland game. Thoughts/edits?

Maybe add Sherrone Moore next to Harbaugh at the summit?

Jay, Hart and Minter feel your disrespect!

Fritz Crisler needs to be in there.

That version of the hat seems to be particularly important to this achievement.

Are we getting eight starters resting like Illinois last year? Or pedal to the metal?

Win The Game.
Maryland is a streaky team. They had Ohio State on the ropes, but they lost to Northwestern. They are capable of that old Indiana chaos. Taulia giveth and Taulia taketh away.
It is a game we will need to take seriously.

Just a guess, but if JH isn't allowed to coach, I think we are very serious about this game and win, in the end, handily.

I really like Jedd Fisch. Thought he did a great job in 2 years at UM under JH 2015-16. He made a huge mistake leaving UM for UCLA under Mora Jr in 2017 and is lucky he even got this chance at AZ.

The Over/Under for the Iowa game is negative three.

Whens the last time Northwestern was favored in a BIG10 game ?
