Meyer Not coming to Michigan: Not ever. Or Ever.
So we can put this to rest and focus on fixing our own house without asking the devil for help...
Skip to 11:05 for the money shot...

Did any real live human being seriously think this was a thing?
September 25th, 2019 at 8:59 PM ^
Inside the state of Michigan? Of course not.
Probably in the state of ohio as well.

If Meyer ever does return to coaching, my guess would be a place like USC or FSU. Both are in the middle of recruiting hotbeds which is his strong point.
September 25th, 2019 at 10:53 PM ^
I would add that it would also be one with a weaker AD so he could ruin the show easier. With Lynn Swann at USC, of your two choices, I'd go with FSU
September 25th, 2019 at 11:01 PM ^
Swann isn't the AD at USC anymore
September 26th, 2019 at 9:56 AM ^
Recruiting top talent from recruiting hotbeds?!...I wonder what that's like...
September 25th, 2019 at 4:39 PM ^
You are taking Urban Meyer at his word? Ha!

Where there is smoke....there is fire...

Delusional
September 25th, 2019 at 4:47 PM ^
Is smoke code for some troll running up and down every thread on mgoblog saying "fire harbaugh; shoot the money cannon at urban"?
Asking for a friend.
Cheers.
September 25th, 2019 at 5:15 PM ^
Listened to Joel Klatt today and he thinks or said he wouldn’t be surprised if Harbaugh left after this season. Not going to happen though I think Harbaugh goes full maniac the rest of the year and UM kicks some serious ass
September 25th, 2019 at 5:24 PM ^
I wish I shared your optimism about turning this year around
September 25th, 2019 at 5:58 PM ^
Oh I have optimism this year. I'll never bet against Harbaugh with back against wall. And now he knows he needs a few grad transfer DT.
September 25th, 2019 at 6:58 PM ^
Michigan hasn't come within 14 points of beating the spread in the last 6 games. If you'd been betting against Harbaugh, you'd be rolling in cash right now.
September 25th, 2019 at 7:56 PM ^
Well Harbaugh is 0-7 as an underdog here, so I hope you didn't put any money on any of those games.
September 25th, 2019 at 8:16 PM ^
The grad transfer DT will pick OSU or Bama over us. We’ll get some backup depth piece
September 25th, 2019 at 9:43 PM ^
This screams jealousy, rare that OSU or Bama would have depth issues with the way they recruit, they'd be the one losing the grad transfer DT...
September 25th, 2019 at 10:18 PM ^
Over surefire playing time ? No way.
September 25th, 2019 at 7:29 PM ^
I have zero optimism that Michigan will turn around. I don't see the fight in Jim Harbaugh to make it happen.
September 25th, 2019 at 11:27 PM ^
I mean, if some rando on the internet doesn't see it, it clearly doesn't exist.
September 26th, 2019 at 4:12 PM ^
Name checks out.... you need to WAKE UP, and watch the three previous games!
September 25th, 2019 at 5:58 PM ^
I am not really sure it would matter to be honest. I like a lot of our guys, they seem like good dudes, but I don’t think we have a ton of talent right now. I think it may be that Harbaugh realizes this and is kind of checked out because he doesn’t think it is possible for the team to come close to living up to expectations. Unless they were truly dogging it to begin the year, I don’t think this team is physically capable of beating a couple of teams on the schedule, OSU especially.
September 25th, 2019 at 7:11 PM ^
So the same guy - who presumably knew what his roster was at media days and agreed UM should be favored to win the conference - has all of a sudden realized that the team isn’t talented? Does not compute.
September 25th, 2019 at 7:29 PM ^
He said that with about as much authority as Higdon’s “guarantee.”
September 25th, 2019 at 8:40 PM ^
Both statements are embarrassing. Understood that they were answers to questions but ... ugh.
September 26th, 2019 at 1:43 AM ^
I think he is done after this season. We had the real Harbaugh for the 2015 and 2016 seasons. After that the fire was gone.
QB play has been our biggest area of concern with Harbaugh. I honestly feel like that position has cost us more games than anything else. It should have been our strength. It is not. Patterson does not look good. He hasn't developed a QB since he has been at Michigan.
This season is not going to end well. There is no way this team beats anyone on our schedule that is ranked.
September 26th, 2019 at 8:30 AM ^
Rudock and Speight improved greatly under Harbaugh. Jury still out on McCaffrey. Shea does not appear to have improved.
September 25th, 2019 at 6:14 PM ^
Where there is unethical decisions.... there's Urban Meyer
September 25th, 2019 at 6:49 PM ^
If he were to come to AA, how long before there is smoke and fire at UM? We'll win, but.....
September 25th, 2019 at 7:35 PM ^
There were far, far less ethical issues at Ohio St for Urban Meyer than there was at Florida. The scene at Florida was atrocious, and extensive. Michigan has always been more ethical than Ohio St. It's less likely there would be a scandalous issue if Urban Meyer was here than at Ohio St.
September 25th, 2019 at 4:40 PM ^
Would never want someone like Meyer anyways. I would like UM to win more games and titles, but not at the expense of their soul by bringing in a domestic violence enabler among other things. Expect to negged by the win at all costs crowd of course who also think UM should engage in paying players, etc.
September 25th, 2019 at 4:42 PM ^
Agreed but it would certainly turn college football on its head.
September 25th, 2019 at 4:45 PM ^
In what way would that turn college football on its head?
September 25th, 2019 at 4:48 PM ^
Come on, really? The whole story line would be epic.
September 25th, 2019 at 4:50 PM ^
Go play NCAA 14 if you want to have your fantasies.
September 25th, 2019 at 6:47 PM ^
Bingo. I think I will.
September 25th, 2019 at 6:54 PM ^
better than our current reality
September 25th, 2019 at 4:51 PM ^
And? Unlike trolls, I don't see life as a fucking circus, so shit like this doesn't amuse me.
September 25th, 2019 at 5:19 PM ^
I assume you mean "epic disaster." It wouldn't matter if Michigan won more games–the team wouldn't be worth following if led by Meyer. I don't want to get into the details (to protect the privacy of the victim) but I know the Smith case was worse than anything that was actually reported. That guy should be in prison and Meyer is probably the only reason he isn't.
September 25th, 2019 at 7:39 PM ^
Yeah, you're right. If he was hired at Michigan all we would hear is crickets.
September 25th, 2019 at 8:06 PM ^
Were you aware that the mother of the alleged victim says that her own daughter is lying, and that Zach did not hit her? Most do not know that, since national media would not cover it. Link to one of the stories below. Do some google searching if you do not believe an Ohio paper.
Courtney's mother also made a FB post saying that her daughter had mental health issues, would get drunk, and attack Zach. Mother and father are divorced, and mother also said that father agrees with her [the mother], but will not say anything because he does not want to hurt his relationship with Courtney; father never refuted that statement.
So if the alleged victim's own parents do not believe her, can you really fault Urban for not believing her either?

Don't go posting things that don't fit their narrative here, when you do you are either a troll or delusional according to them. For how "intelligent" people associated with this school are supposedly, they can't seem to understand the difference between facts and rumors.
