OLD?

Ethel Mertz is celebrating her 107th birthday year--And, in 1913 Michigan only gave up 21 points the entire season.

Way too more than usual but it was Germany Schultz's first year as an assistant and he spent most of the year teaching the defensive linemen to "stand up" as he did the year before when he invented the Linebacker position....

You can look it up.

I believe that puts him at 21 days away from football from his first test? So he'd miss the Michigan game.

Rumors are also swirling that thier QB3, Chase Wolf, also has tested positive once. His second test is waiting confirmation.

If Chase is also out then QB 4 would be coming to Ann Arbor.

Just posted this in the other thread as well.  According to the 247 article linked there, Mertz may qualify to play against UM depending on when the first positive test was administered:

That is where the question of when the positive test was administered becomes important. Wisconsin’s November 14 game against Michigan could be Mertz’s first game back, depending on when the test was administered.

Wisconsin’s November 14 game against Michigan could be Mertz’s first game back, depending on when the test was administered.

If that's the case, then it's a mathematical certainty that he'll play his first game back against us.

What's a near-mathematical certainty is that he'll show literally zero signs of any rust, and will look like a combination of Tom Brady and Trevor Lawrence and Pat Mahomes. Because we're Michigan.

Yes, he would technically be able to return if they count Saturday (the day he tested positive) as Day 1.  That would put Day 21 at the Friday before the Michigan game.

I'm pretty sure the length of days he's supposed to sit were decided for heart monitoring purposes so I don't think he's allowed to practice or do anything physical (and if he is, wtf is the point?).

I can't imagine they'd put him out there without practicing for three full weeks, but yeah, knowing Michigan's luck they'll put him out there and he'll beTom Brady.

Terrible post!  You should be ashamed, OP...  The all-out effort to be the first to post a scoop is just destroying any attempt to get things right.

Have to wonder how this will spread on Wisconsin's team and any team that plays them. B1G championship might go down to who can do the best job of containing outbreaks and might want to think about not having all your QBs for example in close proximity.

I fell awful for these kids!  But.....nobody (the media) gave a shit about us when we had multiple injuries at the QB position.  Hammer Harbaugh and Michigan!
