MBBall Roll Call for London

Submitted by blueinuk on December 4th, 2022 at 8:29 AM

I know our sights have been set on the football team, but there's another game in London this evening! (afternoon)

Twenty years ago my wife and I left the Michigan homeland and settled in foreign territory.  Although we often wondered, "How can we sing the Lord's song in a strange land?" we have dutifully taught our two offspring to love the Wolverines and sing the fight song proudly.

Today I'm taking my eldest daughter to attend her first ever in-person Michigan sporting event and we are pumped!  After deliberating over several ideas for signs, we've landed on "JUWANa talk about 45 - 23?"

Who else will be cheering on the boys in Maize and Blue with us?

Let's GO!!!

I made the trip and I’ll be heading over to O2 shortly.

I… do wish I had waited for the secondary market to buy my ticket, however.  Silly me thought this might be a well-attended event.

To any other Michigan fan in the greater London area, come on by; the team could use the support. :) Go Blue!

I’ll be there wearing my Jalen Rose throwback jersey. I’ve seen a few other wolverines walking around London but when I arrived there were a bus load of Kentucky fans.

Cheer bloody loud, mates.

With your cheers and some solid play from the team, bob's your uncle we'll have a win and you'll be chuffed!

I love when Michigan represents outside the state - hopefully we do today.

Enjoy it! The only two teams I root for are Kentucky Wildcats and Michigan Wolverines. Im having an internal struggle today about this game. Hoping there’s a game thread here cause the UK fans are the absolute worse when it comes to supporting their team. Have a great time, jealous I can’t go to this once in a lifetime event!

I had planned to go as a friend of mine lives 5 minutes from O2, but the late start of the game didn't allow me to get a flight from London City back to Switzerland.

I'll be relegated to watching on TV... Go Blue!!

PSA: if all you have is the weird AXS Mobile ID, you need to stop at will call — on your left before you enter, coming from North Greenwich station — and provide your ID and AXS order number to get printed tickets.
