It seems insane that they're having non-conference games given the current state of the world and the COVID-19 virus spread, but I guess we're at the "fuck it, I'm throwing it deep" stage of this year.

I dont see the Bigten scheduling more than 5 or so non conference games. You could add more in conference games and that is easier to control with conference rules and safeguards. So far, both of our out of conference games are at home. Play around 20-22 conference games and add in a few directional schools and there you have a 25-27 or so game schedule.

The season will probably  be cancelled before or even after it starts. COVID is on the rampage and when Biden takes over for president there will be a 4 to 6 week lock down. I think we should just scrap the season before it begins.

Not including the game tonight but 313 FBS games have been played so far and only 40 have been canceled or rescheduled. 89% of the games have been played successfully. It seems to me that the programs are mostly doing things the way they are supposed to. If basketball has a similar model, or perhaps a better one, they should be fine.

Also, several conferences started later or the success rate would be higher.

Ivy League canceled. I hope the smart thing is done and season is moved to March or April. They start this and unfortunately it doesn’t get very far with where we at.

Gotta say, basketball with no fans will be WEIRD. I know it’s already happening with football, but basketball is going to be even weirder and feel just empty. It’s going to sound like listening to a pickup game at the YMCA. Just a ball bouncing and shoes screeching.
