Miller is 31st in the composite and initially tweeted that he'd be visiting Michigan this weekend, before changing to the tweet saying he was offered. He's supposed to decide on November 21st between Illinois, Louisville and Arizona. If Juwan can get him to visit on such short notice, and potentially alter his decision timeline, that would be a huge win. Also awesome that our contingency plan may be the 31st ranked guy in the country.

Is it really a contingency plan though? If we can grab him a week before he's announcing his decision then amazing, but it kinda seems like Juwan is just offering some else now that he's realizing that Nimari Burnett is going elsewhere when maybe a contingency plan should've been in place a long time ago

Yes. We are going to recruit differently now but it's all going to be okay. We are going to prioritize 5 stars and high 4 stars first and get around to the diamonds in the rough later. This may cause us to miss out on some three stars that may have come here if we got in on them sooner but it will give us a better chance at the higher rated players.

We don’t want our coach “calling in favors” for anything related to Chicago hoops recruiting. Leave that to KU, Arizona, and Memphis.
Let’s hope he finds and recruits the few Chicago kids who don’t have coaches, brothers, agents bartering for their services

man, does it even matter anymore? look what these "harsh" NCAA violations got Kansas, a top 4 ranking and playing center stage in MSG last week. And last I checked Wade and Miller are still at LSU and Arizona after being caught red handed.

That is said about every highly rated recruit that goes anywhere other than Michigan anyway, if he comes here than everything is on the up and up. The NCAA doesn't seem to care one way or another so who cares?

Surprised it took this long, but I guess that's just a byproduct of us prioritizing Nimari Burnett. I believe he also played AAU ball with one of Howard's kids, so there may already be a relationship with Juwan. Let's see if that visit materializes or if he pushes back his commitment.

His game reminds me of Rocket Watts. Hopefully we can pull him in. I think Illinois leads for him which should've be that hard to overcome theoretically

Kids aren't stupid. I'm sure Juwan told him this may be the scenario. That Burnett is more coveted but we're gonna come calling if he goes elsewhere. Same thing happens in football but there are so many more offers and spots that it's not as magnified. I'm sure Juwan has been in touch with this kid all along.
