Oh god is that ugly!

Ha! You can rent this house right around the corner on a lake for only $2K per month.

Or this house for $1.8M is actually nice on the same lake.  6 br 5 ba.  I’d rather have this house for the same money than the Stafford house.  The only problem with this house is you have to look at the UGLY house right across the lake.

It's far from the only one in that neighborhood, but if I was there I would go for a much more classic look.

I know that street well, and it's utterly beautiful ... grew up about a mile from there (to be clear: in a house that was worth maybe a tenth of what Stafford is asking, so not going for the humble brag here).  If I was living in SE MI, being on Long Lake would probably be my dream.  Especially with a view of the Kirk.  Drove my family through there (and Cranbrook) last year when we were back visiting and everyone had a new appreciation for Michigan.

"No speculation is needed," Kelly Stafford said in a video posted on Instagram. "We're about to have our fourth child and I personally do not want to live on a lake or have a pool with four children under the age of a little over 3. So that is the reason that it's on the market."

Translated = They're moving to a zone defense and the cost if one of the kids slips through when you live on a lake is pretty costly.

Granted I just have one 3 year old, but... don't you just teach the kids how to swim? The only real concern I would have is thin ice on the lake in the winter, but a fence could solve that relatively easily, and then remove it when the kids are a little older. That's just me though, and I'm not selling a 6.5M house anytime in the future (lifetime).

Here's to hoping his back is healthy this year.. I'm tired of getting dong punched on Sunday's.

Being around as many deep water holes like pools and rivers are exactly what you should look for if you have toddlers just learning to swim. That way when you’re not around, they can practice swimming without you, their parents, there. It’s especially nice when you are trying to teach them how to swim while wrapped in a pool cover from falling into the pool

He did live interview yesterday and said she's pregnant with their 4th child (currently 3 girls).

He has two 3 year-old twins, a 2 year-old and one on the way. Feel sorry for him if he doesn't have a boy next as he's currently outnumbered 4 to 1 right now

He's not going anywhere, people need to chill.

Their realtor is quoted in the article as saying they're actively looking for other homes in SE Michigan, and Kelly Stafford has said they don't want to live on the water with their young children.

"Stafford began the offseason at his Southern California home... the Staffords packed up and flew to Atlanta, where they own another home."

When one multi-million dollar home isn't enough, I guess you need two more.

"It does the local/state economy well."

What good does a home that sits vacant for a good part of the year do for its local economy? Unless Stafford is renting out their places in CA and ATL—and it doesn't sound like they are—those homes do far less for those economies than they would if people were actually living there year round, and spending money locally.

While that house, unfortunately, sits vacant it is still paying property taxes.  I'm sure the Stafford's have the A/C and heating system running.  Good for energy companies. The Stafford's are most likely paying a maintenance crew to mow the lawns and keep up with the curb appeal.  That seems pretty good.  I'm sure there's a paid security attached to the house.

It's less than ideal that a house sits vacant, but there still are benefits for economies.

11 seasons of nothing for the lions , 0 division titles,0 playoff wins , 10-69 against over.500 teams and wasted the best WR of the 2010's Not bad for not doing anything

I know the history and I know the guy is a choke artist when the biggest stage comes

Went MIA in the playoffs after the first quarter vs the cowboys

played his worst football in December 2013  when the Lions were up 1 1/2 games in the division in December including a 4 INT game against the Bucs when the Lions were an 11 1/2 pt favorite and proceeded to play like trash and get eliminated at the end of week 16 that season when the NFC North was at its weakest as a whole and still could not get the job done.

The only qb in the last 15 year to be on a team 10 years or more straight and have less than 4 playoff wins and a losing record

Tim Tebow has even won a playoff game during stafford's career

2016 blew the division with another horrible December including a week 17 winner take all vs the Packers  at home and played like absolute trash .

He's basically this era's Jeff George, ( even George wona  playoff game even though being a vast underachiever and was a top # 1 pick like stafford ) just a nicer guy tha George  , but chokes in the biggest situations and doesn't play well against over .500 teams as his 10-69 record indicate against those teams

The Lions rebuild will not truly start until he is gone and aslong as he is the starting qb on the Lions, they will continue to be trash, besides the house he invested in a pair for Kelly which still didn't really help her looks wise much anyways.

11 seasons - 0 division titles , 0 playoff wins - He was won Nothing

Stafford probably wishes the Lions would trade him to a good team, so that he would have at least a chance to reach the super bowl. All he has to look forward with the Lions is keeping a lousy team close to .500, otherwise if he gets injured again the Lions will just win a couple games a season.
