So for now our DE roster looks to be Shelton Johnson, Reuben Jones, Taco Charlton, Chris Wormley, Lawrence Marshall, Ron Johnson, and Carlo Kemp, with possibility of Henry or Gary sliding over for a bit. Thats a scary amount of inexperience in there. Harbaugh, Brown, and Mattison have got to work some crazy magic this offseason.

One proven starter. One solid contributor ready to become a starter with an offseason to prepare as a starter. A 5-star recruit, a solid 4 star recruit, and the ability to slide an NFL draft pick "over for a bit?" What more can you ask for? That's a better situation than we go into this bowl game with.

Not to mention all of the depth and athleticism behind the players hinted at above.

lol, DE and our entire DL should be DOMINANT next year.

...the rule as it exists is harmful to players for no good reason. Ojemudia is the perfect example, unfortunately. He would be much better positioned with respect to the NFL if he could finish his career with a full season. He instead has to head to the draft when, at the peak of his ability, he didn't even get to play a half season. You could draw the line at, say, 80% of a season. That would put seniors in a better place with regard to the draft. Teams might decide to sacrifice 20% of a season by exaggerating an injury to get another full season out of a player, sure, but that would be fair enough as long as everyone could do it. And teams already abuse the medical redshirt rule (see Devin Gardner's aborted freshman season).
