Maize Out?

Submitted by T.W.S.W.B.Champions on

Maybe this is common knowledge, but is Saturdays night game a Maize-Out?  I can't seem to find the answer anywhere.  Are night games in general always Maize-Outs, is that an un-written rule?  Can my MGoBlog brothers enlighten me?

They used to print "Maize Out" on the season tickets but it's been several years since they last did.  My assumption is they will be handing out maize pom-poms when you enter the stadium so as to create a unified maize effect for TV.

Might look cool for TV, but it's an absolute pain in the ass to sit near someone determined to wave their stupid pom-pom throughout the game.

You're right - people who don't hit others in the face with pom-poms never cheer!

Why not commit to the idea of a maize-out instead of patching the issue by handing out free pom-poms?

It can''t work at Michigan stadium due to the thousands and thousands of get off my lawn people at Michigan stadium.

I love Michigan and I love the stadium. But, they may as well name it the "get off my lawn you rotten kids" stadium.

It used to drive me crazy.

Well I sure as shit DON'T own any yellow fuckin clothes - but I do have several MAIZE items I'm proud to wear to a M game or just around.

Check it out, they have links to several sites where one can procure MAIZE items right on this page!

I'm sure it is -- but it's never going to work until they put cheap maize shirts on all of the seats that can fit over jackets.

I tried to go to the big house in a spartan-green raincoat for a minny game one time. The ticket scanner guy freaked out and really really didn't want to let me into the student section, even with my student ID. I may have been marginally in the wrong but I was there early to spend several hours in driving rain so... now I know: poncho!

is the front arriving in Ann Arbor late evening.  It's still uncertain as to whether it will hit an hour or so before the end of the game or sometime after.  The problem is that there is a strong likelihood of thunder with it.   Hopefully, when we check the weather tomorrow a.m. it will have shifted a little later.  The late morning and afternoon should be warm and dry though.  Go Blue!

Bit they do plan on doing a coordinated effort for everyone in attendance to use the flash, or light on there cameras at a designated time during the game.
