Made a Trente Jones Appreciation TikTok

Submitted by bluesong on November 26th, 2023 at 1:01 PM

This young man has dedicated himself to the team. Been through ups and downs like all of us, but when Zinter went down he stepped up. We don’t march down the field on our last drive if Trente Jones was not on our team. I rewatched the entire game and Trente was close to perfect after he came into start

I’m old and suck at TikTok, but I know that’s the medium Trente is on - so I did my best.

Like it or comment and show him some much deserved love

I get that Barnhart is a really good player and kinda deserves to be on the field, even though he couldn't get past Keegan and Zinter.  But was he a better tackle than either Jones or Hinton?  I don't think many here believe he is.  But I also don't think the OL will slow down a full step without Zinter because Karsen slides into his natural position and a 'true' OT takes over at RT.

We'll be okay...

Hats off to Trente for being prepared, and to Sherrone for having a plan if something happened.  How many teams would barely miss a beat after losing an All American guard?

I think our line doesn’t miss a beat. We wanted to play Barnhart but played him at a position he’s not suited for. Barnhart is a guard but couldn’t see the field due to Zinter and Keegan so they fit him at tackle. With Barnhart going in at RG, sure he’ll be a downgrade over Zinter but anyone would be. He’ll be solid. Now we can put Trente at RT and we’ll maul in the run game.

Love this and couldn't agree more. Fun fact, Trente is 3x Academic All B1G10. Imagine knowing how good you are bit not starting.  Preparing every game,  all season, for this moment. And then stepping up and delivering. True Michigan Man right there.
