M Rob qualified?

Hate to break any bad news, but I read last night (Rivals) that MRob might not be qualified? The post has since been taken down (may have been complete BS). I figured I would see if anyone here knew anything about it...

I sincerely doubt the accuracy of that post. It had some inaccuracies, and Robinson tried to enroll early. I don't know why he would have attempted to enroll early if he didn't have a qualifying ACT score.

According to the interview I read, he said it was because his paperwork didn't get cleared in time. I don't remember anything about a test score. He's alread graduated from high school. I'm guessing a kid who's intelligent enough/works hard enough to graduate high school early can get a decent enough score on the ACT.

Rumor is that its one his hs coaches whose a big buckeye fan. He posted on the osu scout recruiting board under the name Mike Hobbs. Tom Beaver and the florida guy over on scout say its complete bs and nothing to worry about.

but that sounds like one of the more ridiculous rumors I've heard. His own coach would post that....for what exactly? He would risk alienating any future players on his team, possibly his head coach and his job, all to make Michigan fans nervous for the two or three days that it would take to clear it up?

to both you and obes as to the likelihood of whether it's actually his coach, since you follow this much more closely. But I stand by the logic of my point: you maybe could argue that something might gained in terms of OSU's recruitment if a coach posted he was not a Michigan lock, he was waiting to decide, etc. But by posting that he might not qualify....there is nothing to gain for OSU other than tweaking M fans for at most a couple days, and so much to risk by doing this, that any coach who actually would float such a rumor would have to be a complete idiot. So perhaps he's just a complete idiot.

I imagine this was posted by an OSU troll. They wanted Marvin Robinson really bad, and were pissed that he was a UofM lock all along.

Either one of his hs coaches leaked it or posted it himself. Like I said, one of his hs coaches was a big buckeye fan and was posting on the osu scout recuiting board a crap load of misinformation about mrobs recruitment. Mrob and his family are aware of the guy and I would suspect are keeping their diatance.
