Just realistic.  They turned it off after halftime because Illinois was playing like a soup can.  The team started looking ahead to PSU and we were missing a lot of key players today.  They flipped the switch back on in the 4th and put them back away again.  I ain’t gonna cry about a win and just toss in the towel for the rest of the season!

At this point Illinois is borderline a signature win so I guess we should be thrilled for now.

If everyone has lowered their expectations for Michigan football I/we have to oblige I guess. So be it. I have no control over the program.

But to answer that question, no. Not at all.

They were supposed to win in the three touchdown range they fell about a touchdown short. It's not the end of the world nope but they dominated for long stretches then had a rough patch which happens to teams that are not elite which nobody should think this team is.

They're decentv this year that's all. Look to be at the levels that Michigan State and Iowa are at most seasons which means they fell backwards from last year unfortunately. This looks a lot like the 2017 team. Not the end of the world and not hard to get back up to a higher level problem again. Also need Ohio State to drop a level to be even with them.

I also get a kick out of the people who are preemptively "pissed off" about an assumed loss at Penn State next weekend. We actually match up quite well against them this year, and should be mostly healthy for that game.

Remember dudes, Penn State doesn't have Saquan Barkley anymore. Our defense is currently elite, and the Offense is getting better every week.

There is currently very little evidence to suggest that the defense is elite.  The best offense they have faced is Wisconsin, who are 34th in total offense.  Next closest is Iowa, who are somewhere around 54th.  Three opponents are in the 100s.

If the defense is elite, it will show next week against PSU.  Right now, because of the schedule they have played, there simply isn't enough evidence to say one way or the other.

Meh...the B1G favorites and the year we were finally going to break through looks like a clown show.  Poorly coached, wasted talent.  

When we win a big road game in the Harbaugh era, then we can start with the sarcasm.  Until then, keep celebrating the mediocrity.

We have two groups of fans arguing over two completely unrelated things. One group says: our record is great! 10 wins a season! The other group says: we're Ohio States bitch! They've beaten us every year, will continue to do so, and that's never going to change! One group says: we're doing great compared to average teams! Lucky day! The other says: our rivals and bowl opponents are laughing at us and can't wait to embarrass us! Both things are true, so both sides are technically right. This is a pointless argument, and a fucking stupid post, op, by proxy.
