Some interesting momentum (for Michigan) in the betting trend as well.

Happy Black Friday everyone.

Very good point, and to add some additional context to Ohio State's road schedule. According to S&P they have played the #27, #82, #90, and # 30 team on the road. The two teams they have played ranked inside the top 30, they won by 14 points, and 9 points respectively. Michigan is #4. Michigan has beat the #5 and #11 S&P rated teams both on the road.

All of this is not to suggest Michigan should be favored, or fans should feel supremely confident. But I do think a lot of us - myself included - are a bit shell shocked from the past two ass kickings. Perhaps we'll take another shellacking this year, I wouldn't rule it out. But the numbers suggest this should be a very close game if Michigan's game plan is effective and our players execute.

OSU is very, very good.. but Michigan is pretty good too. They may have a better chance than a lot of us are willing to give them credit for.

Just checked Vegas Insider - looks like predominantly 8's across the board.  The "consensus" line has it at 8 1/2.  The closer you get to kickoff, the more public money is coming in, which I would think would get laid on OSU.  The public more often likes to play favorites and the overs.

Money line has OSU - 300.+ 250.  $100 on Michigan to win will get you $250, while laying $300 on OSU to win will get you $100.

goggles, i have a spread/point question.  when you say that if someone bets $100 on michigan and they get $250, does that mean you get $250 total (thus a net of $150 in winnings) or does that mean the house then hands you back $350, putting you up $250 in net winnings?

it would have to be that betting ohio as the favorite means you turn over $300 to the house and you'd get $400 back (net win of $100), right?

This is my hope also, that the spread increases tonight and early tomorrow based on massive public money.

One of Michigan's crutches in the 2020 NCAA "See-No-Speak-No-Evil" era of heavy sports gambling is that Michigan grads usually have more disposable income than their competition. There is 0 chance that the NCAA is going to be able to figure out whether a ref has taken $80,000 in BTC through a burner phone. With the amount of money out there on games increasing every year, the NCAA taking no action against refs who appear to have thrown games, and with the FBI making an effort to ignore crime across the spectrum, it's becoming a more logic decision for everyone.

Don't bet for Michigan. Throw money for OSU to win.

I'm just glad Don Brown isn't here to play press man coverage for 4 quarters against 3 NFL wide receivers running crossing routes.

I hope for a game of the decade from our players and coaches. I sense some magic with these guys. The balance of this team and poise of Cade and the potential of JJ have me dreaming for sure.

Woke up from a nightmare this morning. I had to turn the game off in my dream because it was bad.  I woke up relieved it was a dream and relaxed because I know in my head, the outcome will be far better than that.

Money lines are educated guesses. Its time fate and a really good team do in the scarlet and grey.

You’re not alone my friend. I may have to accept the wife’s invitation to go shopping with her today to pass the time till football comes on and I can start drinking. Once I’m half in the bag tomorrow will be here before you know it. Although I did promise the asshole in-law buckeye fan who’s coming tomorrow Id have ribs and a pork shoulder ready. If someone wants to hook me up with 3 tickets for the game I won’t even tell them, they’ll just show up to an empty house.

I’d be shocked if the final score is within seven. That being said, if it gets to the fourth quarter as a one score game, it’s officially anyone’s ball game.

I hope MacDonald has drafted the gameplan of his life, and most importantly, put his players in a position to execute it. He’s undoubtedly seen offenses like this during his time in the league and will know some things he can do to counter. But this will definitely be the first time that he does not have comparable talent to go up against that offense.
