Leading for 5 star WR Brandon Inniss?
GhostofJermaine’s most recent post stated that Denard is working really hard on getting Inniss in the UM ‘23 class, and that Michigan feels they are the team on top.
Recruiting services are showing that Michigan isn’t a team of interest and hasn’t even offered. Tried to get some information on the situation from The Fort and had my post taken down.
Curious if anyone has insight as to why GoJ is stating that Michigan is the team to beat in this recruitment.
Go Blue!
Who is Brandon Inniss? Do you mean BI?
BI from FLL?
You make me luff. Good team!
That's better than BO, for sure.
Brandon Inge? isn't he working with the baseball team? I mean just because JV played two sports.... I don't think BI can and he's probably out of eligibility anyway.
the dreaded double dribble.....

We may need to explain these references. It’s been a while since this happened.
Yes, I was surprised by how many posters yesterday seemed outraged by GOJ's post. I thought he was old hat around here at this stage. You just have to read them, absorb all you can, then move down the page to where someone provides a key. Bit of a shtick, but fun, in the end, IMO.
Does the OP have a history of accuracy or no? A couple of the players he mentions aren't listed as Michigan leans by the major recruiting services.
Yes! GOJ has posted credible info for a few years now. His posts are far and few between, and always have too many abbreviations to keep track of, but the info is solid. Nothing is always spot on, but his is always solid.
But often GoJ’s info is just a restatement of things that are already known. For instance, yesterday’s board post led with the CJ Carr imminent commitment to Norte Dame that was already widely accepted information on this very board. Then a discussion of how Juwan was the Lakers’ top choice in their coaching search, but that he turned them down to stay at Michigan. Again, a subject matter that has already been discussed and widely accepted on this board. I don’t mean to insinuate that all of what GoJ posts is untrue or just regurgitated info that’s already mostly well documented, but there are plenty of examples in their board posts of that very thing. There is also plenty of personal speculation by GoJ in their posts, but it is sometimes presented as insider information. All I suggest is to remain somewhat skeptical of them and wait for the actual official sources to discuss the subjects GoJ raises in board posts.
Be skeptical all you want, we're simply stating GoJ has connections to the program (more than what at least 96% of the people on this board have most likely).
He just reports what he's heard in discussions with folks he interacts with. He's not trying to be right or wrong or scoop anything. He just reports what he's hearing.
"we're simply stating GoJ has connections to the program"
What exactly are those connections?
GoJ is Harbaugh, Harbaugh is GoJ
They may have a legitimate inside connection who actually divulges accurate information, but often the GoJ posts are already reported on information or speculation.
Speculation from the people he knows.
HE isn't speculating. The info he's relaying may be speculation but he's not the speculator.
They hardly ever distinguish what is speculation from “the people he knows” and their own speculation in the posts is what I’m saying. That’s also part of the reason the constant cryptic language and BS with initials is annoying.
Don't forget the RDT = WIAB as well. Which was the end of RDT. Ahh yes, #mgomemories.
For readers who might be wondering, RDT refers to Roll Damn Tide, a poster from 2014 who claimed to be a fan of Alabama, and would pass on morsels of information about Michigan’s southern recruiting, including with major recruits. At one point, RDT appeared to ask the mods to edit a post he made, but (seemingly by accident) did so from the account of another regular poster, Wolverine in a Bag. This was noted by other readers, and RDT denied any malfeasance; however, the episode called his recruiting credibility into question. After that episode, neither poster was ever heard from again.
Well there goes the cat.
Why don't you ask the WLA folk over at the Edge of the Internet?
Let get him "Inniss" class
I'm here all day folks
Alas. We will try to work around you! :)
Will he be Inniss or Outiss? I guess we will find out in time.
Honestly he’s probably just blowing smoke. Like you said there’s no indication that Michigan has even offered, which is about all you need to know since they extended offers to a lot of their other skill position targets years ago.
It is entirely possible that Denard is building a relationship with him on his own terms and that they won’t offer unless they know the interest is mutual, but that’s an incredibly light touch recruitment for one of the most sought after players in the country. It would be an all-time crootin’ story if we were to even be in consideration, let alone leading.
Some good points but all of these highly rated WRs are also looking hard at the QBs that will be throwing to them in the future and the type of offense that a school employs - if it features the WR. Check out the QBs that USC, Alabama, and OSU - the perceived favorites - will have on their rosters in the next 3 to 4 years and the WRs that these schools / coaches have sent to the NFL in the first few rounds (Riley at OK)
That's why it's absolutely crucial that we get Dante Moore to UM. His name will draw other high-talented offensive players as it all starts with the QB
I'm pretty sure the WR he was referring to was JB (Jalen Brown for those of us with the ability to type full names).
He specifically said it is not Jalen Brown. WR from American Heritage with initials BI.
WR BI from AH in FLL FL
That's the way! (TTW)
NTTAWWT
Don't know anything about BI but interestingly Enow Etta 4 star DL out of Texas has had his On3 prediction slipping away from MSU and towards Michigan. He is supposed to be visiting June 17th.
I love Denard and all, but I have a hard time believing he's pulling in top recruits in his first season on the job. He's going up against the best of the best. I'd like to think this is true by GOJ, but I'll believe it when I see it.
You have a hard time believing he has pull with 1 recruit, because this is his first year on the job? He is a legend in Florida, why is it hard to believe he can relate to 1 kid who also has a relationship with Desmond Howard?
Yeah that, and he's a five star WR from Florida. They go to Bama and OSU, not Michigan. I just have a hard time believing Denard has put Michigan in the lead, especially with no evidence he's good at recruiting or any rumors of Michigan being in the lead other than GOJ making mention of it. Of course I'm hoping Denard is our version of Brian Hartline and starts pulling in five star WRs from Florida. I just have some doubts
Your doubts are based on what? Explain please. Are you speculating based on him being new at this job or you specifically have some detail about Denard to say this? Everyone has to start somewhere.
obviously you forgot how fast he is...... he was able to gain the pack in no time, he'll be in the lead before his first 'cruitin' cycle is over
I’m guessing BI tells people what they want to hear, which is why a lot of different schools feel like they lead for him. USC, Alabama, and Michigan are all confident that they lead for him. He’s got a three day visit coming up soon with OSU. I’m sure they will think they lead after his visit. I doubt anyone knows where he’s going…including BI.
We already think we lead for him. He’s going to have Raiola (#1 QB in ‘24 committed to OSU) throwing to him during the 7 on 7 tournament too. I think someone is blowing smoke up your guys’ arses because all I’ve heard so far is that it’s a USC, OSU and Bama battle.
According to GOJ, Michigan feels they're leading for a player that they haven't even offered yet.
"Curious if anyone has insight as to why GoJ is stating that Michigan is the team to beat in this recruitment."
I'm curious why people take any anonymous internet account seriously.
I've always been curious why anyone takes non-anonymous internet accounts seriously.
Do you think that anonymous accounts like GOJ are more reliable and trustworthy than non-anonymous people like Sam Webb?
I think he's just a carpetbagger...
Excellent point, Webb is the biggest sunshine hype pusher there is and whiffs half the time yet folks take his word as gospel
Yeah, going out on a limb and saying that sometimes people who have "insider information" may not have ALL of the information.
I'm sure the team has reached out to a 5* kid from Florida but that was one of a couple of claims in that post that seemed dubious.
Why in the world has Michigan yet to offer the #1 WR in the class?
Not sure what you are looking for here...
Denard has a great relationship with BI, and has additional inroads from coaches he had as a kid in S. Fla. It certainly was not a mistake on my end.
Clink wants the John Bosco kid bad
MW pushing JD to commit NOW! ....... Not for one second am I saying MW and Michigan didn't want CJ. However, MW and his mensa - analytic brain are looking for advantages on offense. Making the defense account for the QB is important for success. He did work with that one guy from SFla, MVP of NFL, who grew up idolizing Shoelace. #SmileyFace
EB people doing breakfast with JH and Saddi
If you want to get a little bit better at something, work a little bit harder.
Cheers
