I'm skeptical of him as a reporter but I paid for a subscription to share with those who find him credible.

The rule the Big Ten is accusing Michigan of is advance scouting of a future opponent

Michigan is expecting a "season" suspension of Harbaugh"(not clear, if that means the remainder of season, or next year games as well)

A potential Harbaugh suspension would include College Football Playoff games as well.

If the injunction is denied Michigan can appeal immediately.

Connor Stallions was working on behalf of Central Michigan when he was on their sidelines. However, "he's still a Michigan employee advance scouting a future opponent."

He believes the sign stealing collusion against Michigan story will gain traction after coaches names are revealed. He doesn't know if the information was illegally obtained but sharing signs is against big ten rules.

He believes Ryan Day is not in the clear regarding the PI firm, the NCAA doesn't care about it and haven't investigated it. Michigan is adamant on gathering evidence and proving that he was involved.

ESPN requested 50 tickets to the Michigan -Ohio State game and he thinks Michigan will decline their request.

My theory has been that some low-level analyst with same sign-stealing role as Stalions at CMU invited him and got him access. Reporting has already shown that the sign-stealing analysts at schools networked amongst each other. Going to be hard to prove whether or not McElwain or any assistant coach had knowledge of this. More importantly, I have a hard time believing Michigan would allow this from a staff member and strengthens the argument that Stalions was acting on his own if it can be proven he was there working for CMU.

This is 100% speculation on my part, but I hope "expecting" means "preparing for" a potential Harbaugh suspension, so the lawyers and TROs are locked and loaded.

I'm also looking more and more fondly in the ACC's direction every day.  ND, Stanford, FSU, Miami and Clemson?  Sign me up.

It truly is unbelievable how so many national reporters are still running with the story that Harbaugh should be severely punished without waiting on all the facts and without even trying to follow up the Stallions story with some of the new evidence Michigan is bringing to light.  Harbaugh is so in the media's head that they cannot even think straight.  Losing Harbaugh for any games would be a blow so I hope that does not happen.  This team has been laser focused this year and I expect it to continue throughout the remainder of the season.  Go Blue!

This is what gets me. Maybe I'm naive and/or ignorant (or both), but I always had this idealistic view that journalists should be, first and foremost, reporting the objective truth and facts, not reporting on selective facts and creating a narrative around it to tell a specific message.

Steven A Smith spouting off about how Harbaugh should be fired isn't journalism. Dinich doing the same isn't journalism.

Narratives in which a cartoon idea of good and bad can be pumped without threatening the underlying structure--or interests--are always seized on avidly by the mainstream press. If this were about right and wrong, addressing the crazy inequality or duplicity in college sports. . . well, you quickly see what a joke that even is. We're a conference that just invited USC to join them.

How are more people not raising eyebrows that the Big Ten is specifically going after Harbaugh when this - by all appearances and information available - should be something that the general program is responsible for accepting?  He was not involved nor was aware of what the kid was doing on the side (as we know to date).

The Big Ten does not have a "Lack of Institutional Control" rule like the NCAA.  They actually have no basis to go after Harbaugh.  They are supposed to go after the institution.  What does that mean?  Well it probably means a big fine, being the money whores the Big Ten are.

People may feel a lot of different ways about Trump, but there are some similarities here.  All evidence of guilt is accepted regardless of how remote or speculative and all evidence of innocence is dismissed as whining or conspiracy.  Also, a media in lock step against the “accused,” treating allegations as fact.

This would be a dead story if Michigan wasn't in position to get into the playoff and possibly when the national championship. Living in Florida I can tell you this is all they care about. If Michigan is out that's 1 more spot available.

As for the B1G's approach it would be baffling if it weren't for the fact that OSU's 3 coaches, coaches from teams we still play along with MSU banging the table for Harbaugh's head.

The SEC would never under any circumstance do this to Georgia or Alabama. Matter of fact Greg Sankey gave a wicked smile when confronted with the B1Gs position toward Michigan as he knows it's only going to fuel his conference.

The reality of the situation is the B1G is weaponizing a minor incident that may not even be a violation to persecute a successful team as hard as they possibly can, for the great crime of being successful. Fuck the B1G in every way imaginable, and each and every pussy ass bitch of a coach who couldn't man up on the sidelines and are instead pushing for this like fucking cowards. ESPN, fuck you too.

We are on the verge of an undefeated team entering in a three-week span of massive conference games that are going to draw immense national attention, and that team possibly being the conference's best hope to win a national title for the conference for the first time in almost a decade, and the conference, without an investigation, is going to say "NAH!  F*** all that.  Die, conference member!"???

I see this more as a bunch of Big Ten football coaches and ADs capitalizing on this. As Brian noted in his most recent Signgate The Seventh column, most of these programs have no excuse for how moribund their football programs are so this is an opportunity to shift the spotlight and blame from themselves. Put mob pressure on a new inexperienced Big Ten commissioner to punish Michigan in conference calls and through leaks to the press.

I saw a quote recently from Matt Rhule trying to explain away Nebraska's 5-4 start to the season to two bad video reviews and "one game where the opponent scouted us." He just lost to a terrible MSU football team and is squandering a chance to win the Big Ten West in a season where both Iowa and Wisconsin are playing with backup QBs.

ESPN can go get their tickets on SeatGeak and pay 600 bucks a ticket like everyone

OR they can slide head first into third base and see if there are any tickets there.

OR they can watch on Channel 2 like everyone else without tickets.

Their coverage is garbage and hostile towards us - we do not need them just like we don't need a DJ or flashing lights.

The nonstop garbage they scroll across the bottom make ESPN unwatchable. Like I care what tennis match is on ESPN 3 at 4pm yet they will remind you 100 time an hour until 4pm arrives...then you'll get updated scores on said tennis match over & over.

It's truly unwatchable garbage.
