It isn't a late night game.. but it is still going (though its all but over). But got dang do I not want to play USC. Now that is a prolific offense.

USC seems to have a rather suspect run defense. Darnold was off agains't WMU too and had some turnovers. Western had a kickoff return for a td too. USC has a good secondary though and defends the pass well. Considering a week 2 game agains't Stanford facing a boat-without-rows Broncos squad I'd imagine they were looking a little ahead on top of everything.

Then offensively they look like they may be the most dangerous in the country. Dangerous on the ground with a #1 pick at QB and weapons on the outside. You can only run the ball so much when you can't stop the other team from scoring.

As an aside, James franklin said: "I know last year for their win [against us], it was like the Super Bowl. But for us, this was just like beating Akron." I feel the same way every time we beat PSU.

Me either. Don't think we're going to make the playoffs though. PSU D looked very good today. We already know about their O... You can figure Clemson in there too but think their drop in offensive firepower might be an issue.

I've wanted to believe PSU sucks but their O is a known commodity and only better than last year. And while it was obvious that Pitt's offense was not good, PSU completely obliterated their OL. Not a good sign for me. I expect our D to be better than their D and their O to be better than our O. The balance of the two I'm not sure but then add in road game and I can't say I'm as confident as I was preseason.

I expect Pitt is significantly better, but that wasn't the basis of my argument. I'm simply basing it off what I have actually seen from PSU, you know, watching them play football. I know I'm arguing with the homer board here, but it takes some pretty good squinting with maize glasses to think we're better than 50-50 going into happy valley.

needs to find his voice in the huddle, I bet he can find receivers downfield way better than Wilton can.

For us it's all about the QB play, if we get good QB play we'll beat anyone, if not then we're quite vulnerable, which would be a shame with this defense and FG kicking, the punting is concerning, maybe Robbins will get a shot if Hart keeps being so average.

will end up at a top-tier program.  His team went nuts when he caught a ball that went out of play.  Dude gets kids to buy in.

The last question is whether he can recruit at a top-tier level.
