The biggest green vs. white battle since the Green Power Ranger fought the White Power Ranger.
Lewerke throws a ball 10 ft over a dude's head for a pick
Monday's State News Headline
the announcer said DeWeaver is hurt, that's why he's not playing.
the one thing Staee is not going to be good at next year is football. they look like ass.
they did get some good weather, so they go that going for them, which is nice.
What about the battle for the Land Grant Trophy?
How can this be awarded any other week of the season?
showing former MSU players and the Play by Play guy in the booth immediately says he wants Jack Allen in a fight.
Like in a dorm room?
are looking less than impressive.
Lewerke doesn't look that great besides that first drive.
How does Chewins their LT look?
He blocked some guys, some he missed.
They have one good player on the team in LJ Scott and nobody else. Their DL looks decent too but idk how much of that is their OL.
I'll give them a 5-8* record next year.
*I predict they will lose the BYE week as someone is bound to be dismissed from the team.
I see 6-6. With that very easy 2-0 start I think they can go 4-6 the rest of the way. If they lose either of the first two games, then it could get real ugly (again).
I don't see WMU winning on the road with a new coach and QB. I would LOVE to be wrong.
State needs to be careful against BGSU in week 1. Bowling Green will not be afraid of State after a 3-9 season and an offseason of scandal. BG was worse than State last year, but they can run the ball and, if their passing offense and defense can improve a little, they can press State early. If MSU were to lose game 1 the wheels could fly off.
That being said, I've got State at 3-9 again next year. Wins against BG, WMU, and Rutgers.
Appropriate that this game is being played on April Fools Day.
Copeland looks pretty bad at corner. Very bad sign for them, given the importance of CB's in their system
Terrible throw by Lewerke results in another interception
Trishtan Jackson has looked great, no doubt about it. Though if Corley can't return and Layne has to play defense, they're going to be very, very thin at WR from the looks of it.
Jackson will probably be the number 1 option. Felton Davis didnt' play today, but was on sidleline...probably will be the other starter. Guessing Cody White gets thrown in the fire.
Stewart hasn't developed at all. Chambers and Rison may get minutes, but no idea if ready yet.
I'll re-watch and want to see the OL play.
But I think the most telling thing about this game is that the collective Sparty team and fanbase are probably sighing with relief that this game and spring season are over.
Micky D is doing the right thing. If you are one of the guys not involved you'd rather your name be cleared, but this is compltely incidental, and no one will remember player x could have been one of the suspects. But if you release the players names who are suspected and it turns out no wrong doing then you've done real harm to their reputation.
State may contend for 5th best team in the state this year.
