(Kevin Schwarzel, Bobby Sagers, Daniel Capron) Rigged 2016 Game

We need to get out in front of this so the Big 10 doesn't predetermine the outcome of the game like 2016.  With an unbiased crew Michigan wins that game by 14-17 points.  The Big 10 distorted the market to get OSU into the playoff where they were promptly disgraced by Clemson.  It also led to the narrative that Harbaugh can't beat Ohio.  Well of course he couldn't when they rigged the game.

The rivalry is too important.  It must be decided in 2019 by the players and not the referees.

Every time this issue comes up i get negged for my opinion. Michigan choked that game away. Our QB play that day cost us. Two interceptions and a fumble on the goal line. Without his three turnovers we win that game easily. OSU couldn't even score. The only two TD's they had in regulation were from the pick six and the other interception being returned to the Michigan 13 yd line.

It's not an either/or though. UM's mistakes doesn't mean that a crew that was barred from doing the game for 10 years, with self proclaimed OSU fans on the crew, didn't do this one and failed to call a live ball penalty on OSU the entire game. It was a slanted game called by a crew that had been barred from doing the game previously. The Big Ten and those officials in no way shape or form deserve a pass just because UM made some mistakes as well.

Bucknuts drove Herbstriet out of Ohio. They would burn the Ohio refs house to the ground if he would have spotted that correctly ...

I know people are hung up on that spot but that is not really the issue. The issue is OSU somehow going the whole game without being called for live ball penalties despite numerous obvious examples of things that should have been called. I don't why people want to just ignore the fact that the Big Ten themselves would not allow this crew to do the game before that year.

Honestly I would not put it past the conference to have these guys do the game this year. I would hope the fans would bring their own towels and rain them down on the field if that happens.

I had forgotten just how bad it was.

The holding misses....yeah that's something that gets missed quite a bit.   Michigan probably got away with a couple of those as well as Michigan was barely flagged in that game (seem to recall OSU had zero flags).   Those missed DPI calls were really bad as was the late blindside hit with the ref staring right at the play.

Still though - we get a first down when we had the ball late in the 4th Quarter and the game is basically over.  Can't blame the officials for that.

I actually know Schwarzel. He is a huge OSU fan. Not an honest person. And has/does drink beer with his buddies and laugh/brag/take credit for what he did in this game. I am glad this video was made. It would be no different than pulling a Michigan fan from the stands before the game to be the BJ. With the exception that he is very good at what he does. some would be too blatantly obvious about it. his talent is knowing the situation the score etc. and selecting the right moments to greatly impact the game. very skilled at what he does just a dishonest person and never should have been allowed to call this game
