Per Kentucky Scout site, Marrow to stay at UK

Submitted by ypsituckyboy on

Vince Marrow reportedly will be staying with Kentucky. Michigan offered him a spot on their coaching staff. Huge for UK. #BBN

As was noted in the twitter feed for that tweet, then why is he reaching out to Chris Clark, a TE who has shown virtually no interest in them?  I guess they made an offer to him (as did most of the other Power-5 teams in the country), but either this report is wrong or the one about Clark and Marrow talking is right out of the blue.  Not saying it isn't true, but this tweet seems a bit mysterious.

That was my first assumption, too, but on further thought it would be really weird if he was actually basing any significant part of this decision on whether Chris Clark would be coming to Michigan or not. It would have been one thing if he wanted Clark's perspective on the other coaches, but since it's a new staff that doesn't make much sense, either. I'm going to continue assuming it's that UK came up with more money, or Stoops decided to pressure his good friend to stay.

Have a feeling that there are going to be a flurry of coaching announcements over the next two days and we will all know more then. In the meantime, I will just trust in Harbaugh.

So was he using Clark to get himself paid? That's really weird. Unless Clark was totally hearing the wrong thing. But why was Marrow in contact with him anyway if he's not going to UM?

There is the word "reportedly" - and I am pretty sure some United Kindom fan site claimed that word on the street was that Marrow won't move (as of Jan. 3, 2015).

Just wait and see.

"Largely been false." Exactly which ones were false. The one people had beef with the most was "Gardner will play WR in the red zone as a decoy." And when that didn't happen people was up in arms, even though we didn't see the red zone that game. Find out what statements have turned out to be false and I'll hand you a cookie and a coke.

This era of Michigan football, the daily rumors / reports that have come out, and the whole harbaugh being hired thing all add up to this being the most fascinating period of my Michigan fandom.
