Pretty sure I saw him do this to the Iowa OT a few times last weekend.
December 11th, 2021 at 2:29 AM ^
Sam Webb drew a chalk outline around the Iowa dude on the ground in the video breakdown with Vance Bedford. I was cracking up.

When he said "wanna see a dead body?", I lost it!

I couldn't help but laugh out loud.
Comments on this clip are great too. I think my favorite was 'the moment OSU caught the flu'.

Check out this ground level view of that play. I've only seen this posted anywhere once - on this site of course. It was in the flurry of posts on the Sunday after the victory. I think it got lost in the madness but deserves to be re-found.
Literally made me lol and spit my coffee

The pre play promise to bring the pain just adds to the mystique
December 11th, 2021 at 1:31 AM ^
Aidan “The Babe” Hutchinson calling his shot.
December 11th, 2021 at 1:45 AM ^
No joke. With the focus on his gestures before the play, it's by far the best shot I've seen of this. Needs to be gif'd.
December 11th, 2021 at 7:55 AM ^
The other views, from the press box, show the OSU center and Munford both pointing him out to Stroud. The whole is funny as hell!! I'm only half-surprised that Woodson, Desmond, Herbstreit, Davis, et all didn't pick up on it and explain the whole clip...
December 11th, 2021 at 9:55 AM ^
There is an interview with his father where he said Aidan said he heard them shift the protection to him, and when he saw that he started yelling at the Tackle that he was coming for him, that he was bringing the pain. Seeing the play, and knowing the details of it make it sooo much better.
December 11th, 2021 at 11:58 AM ^
So the defense shifted to him, were completely preparing for him, and he still did that.

No, his foot got stuck
December 11th, 2021 at 7:16 AM ^
The suckeye excuses get better and better. He probably also had the flu, a cold, runny nose, and a boo boo.
December 11th, 2021 at 7:27 AM ^
He couldn't get his Manzilian because of the flu and so his jock strap got stuck in his pubes (NTTAWWT)
December 11th, 2021 at 7:43 AM ^
I’ll buy that, if you change grass to turf and left foot to ass!
December 11th, 2021 at 8:22 AM ^
I watched it 3 times, looking just at his left foot, to see if a pre-blown-up stumble helped him get blown up.
I think Jibbroni's right: What got stuck was his ass to the turf.
December 11th, 2021 at 9:00 AM ^
His foot got stuck in the grass (on a field made of the same material as the toilet bowl, mind you) has to be the most bizarre excuse I've ever seen.
December 11th, 2021 at 8:51 AM ^
His foot didn’t get stuck in the “grass” (turf), but his footwork is terrible.
He starts with his left leg back faking that he’s on Jeter, even though his eyes are right on Hutch. Then he shuttles out but keeps his hips closed and both feet are under his ass.
December 11th, 2021 at 9:28 AM ^
He had the yips with Hutch on the other side of the LOS. He forgot all his training.
December 11th, 2021 at 1:16 AM ^
Thanks for posting.
Glorious.
December 11th, 2021 at 1:27 AM ^
If this happened in a movie I would think it’s so over the top and ridiculous. A player talking shit like that pre snap, and then just plowing over the guy. That’s so insane.
December 11th, 2021 at 6:07 AM ^
i don't think he was talking smack or anything at all to the soon-to-be-vanquished OT. he is gesturing to the other side of the line and the LB's as he/they do most plays.
EDIT: looking at it again, it could be that hutch knew their keys so well that he knew the LG would fan block to his side and help the LT, and hutch might have been saying something to the LG about, 'i know you gotta come get me, buckeye, bring it'. the way that LG steps out seems to be a designed step to hutch.
either that, or he's asking for a suppository for 75 to help him feel better. 75 had a widdo tummy ache so da medicine wouldn't go down the normal way.
December 11th, 2021 at 7:13 AM ^
In an interview, Aidan’s dad Chris mentioned that Aidan told him he was yelling “I’m coming, I’m coming” on this play. He was definitely yelling and talking shit and yet he did come and do what he said he would do.
December 11th, 2021 at 2:17 PM ^
It aint talking shit if you do what you say you're going to do.

I have watched the OSU game in some capacity at least a dozen times. Each time I am more impressed with our performance. No matter what happens in the playoffs, that game alone will stand amongst the top performances of any Michigan team in history.
Even if we win a National Championship, that will be the game that is remembered most
December 11th, 2021 at 8:00 AM ^
Can agree with this... The CFP games are gravy - it's all house money from here. I know that Michigan is going to show up ready to rock the shit out of a great game plan. They may well lose one of the two games, but the winner is going to KNOW they were in a game they hadn't played all year.
I'm okay with that...
December 11th, 2021 at 11:17 AM ^
I've been thinking this same thing. There's no pressure on UM at this point. They got the monkey off the program's collective back, anything else is icing. The pressure is all on GA at this point, they were expected to be here and they're expected to win. UM can play loose and let it rip and I think they're going to do just that.
December 11th, 2021 at 8:49 AM ^
I still don't know how the DTs played so well. None of us dared to dream they would cause as much trouble as they did

I mentioned in the Offense UFR that one thing I loved was how the Buckeye faithful were talking up their O-line before this game and one here on this site predicted our d-ends would come back to earth once they faced their all American tackles. The best part about this game is OSU had to keep reshuffling guys because of Hutchinson and Ojabo and one by one they brought each of their O-lineman back down to earth. Our D made their elite recruits look like a MAC line. “Hutch for Heisman!”
December 11th, 2021 at 1:04 PM ^
Yep. The OSU boards considered Hutchinson and Ojabo to be non factors. I hope Georgia, especially since they have the “best defensive player” in the country feels and prepares the same way. On an flip note, I hope our walk on O lineman plants the best defensive player on his gelatinous ass.
December 11th, 2021 at 10:31 AM ^
I hope so. And I hope that the NFL scouts show that clip to him at the combine interview and ask, "explain what happened here."
Oh to be a fly on that wall!

no lie, our children's children will watch this in various forms in UM vs OSU hype videos for eternity.

Much like the double-bird, this could be a section of the game column: “Thayer Munford’ing Moment:” or perhaps in the UFR. We can highlight the best pancake or block getting blown up.

This is just a thing of beauty. Is that not the worst technique you've ever seen? I hope OSU keeps their offensive line coach for a long long time.
