Jourdan Lewis NOT GUILTY on both counts.
http://www.mlive.com/news/ann-arbor/index.ssf/2017/07/jury_finds_nfl_ro…
The jury, made up of four women and two men, deliberated for a little more than an hour.
A player accused and found NOT guilty? That's the Michigan difference, Sparties. Can't wait to read the "the fix is in, Blue Wall media" excuses at RCMB.
it can provide comic relief when having a bad day.
I hate myself
Remember, NOT GUILTY is not the same as INNOCENT. Just because the jury is not convinced he did it, doesn't mean the jury is convinced that she lied about it.
It is not easy to avoid lightskins with a big booty ! I have overlooked craziness for this very reason myself !
...at work.
Else the jury would have believed her story. Res ipsa.
Or, the jury simply did not believe that there was enough evidence to support her story, Beyond a Reasonable Doubt.
I'm not trying to throw Jourdan Lewis under the bus here. He seems like a really good guy so I had a hard time believing what he was accused of. I'm just very uncomfortable when the response to "defendant found not guilty" is "the accuser's a lying @#$%! How can we make her pay?". Things are rarely black and white.
Well considering Jourdans defense attourney didn't call any witnesses to the stand, and rested immediately after the prosecuter did should show you how full of shit her story was.
In the eyes of the law, it is.
You are correct, sir.
So I guess what you mean is that even thought a jury of his peers decided that he is not guilty of the crime for which he was accused of that we all should act like he is guilty of it? Stop dropping acid for a few weeks man.
Good. Hopefully Jourdan stays positive about the whole thing, as it would be easy to become very cynical. With all the crazy shit going on in the world sometimes it's hard to realize that the vast majority of humans are, in fact, very good people.
While it has always seemed like he had a good head on his shoulders, he got an early reminder of how quickly all of his hard work could be taken away. Go ball out in the League.
Good.
Seems like the right outcome, given what I've read of the trial.
Why would someone neg this comment on an M board? If someone thinks it was the wrong outcome, reply saying why with support.
I've been hit with a pillow. Does that now constitute domestic violence? If so, the jails would be full.
He bet on himself and won...as he should've since he knew/felt he'd done nothing wrong.
I'm very happy for him, he's a great young man and I wish him all the best in the NFL. I think he can find a niche as a dominant NB. Teams have to find an answer for these little Slot WRs who just eat defenses up. I think that's where Lewis can shine.
Actual domestic abuse is a terrible, always avoidable thing. False accusations of domestic violence are relatively as bad because the system too often assumes an innocent accused is guilty.
In the future, please align yourself with a quality partner, there are others like the person who falsely accused you who will attempt to ensnare you. It's easy to be vulnerable by such folks.
You've learned a difficult lesson. Keep your eyes on the prize and make good decisions going forward. The world is your oyster, dude. Best of luck to you.
And may the accuser find personal help. That is all.
There are a few out there who take issue with my statement, "[a]ctual domestic abuse is a terrible, always avoidable thing. " Shame on you.
was the only thing you said. It's shameful to twist things around like you just did.
Hmmm, nice deflection but your post was pretty sanctimonious.
For sure. If women would just learn to not burn the toast or iron his shirts wrong, she wouldn't get the shit beat out of her. Easy.
The real issue is that she lied saying he choked her. If her original police report had simply consisted of her saying he hit her with a pillow, it likely never would've gotten this far (although in Ann Arbor you never know...).
Who is the asshole downvoting everything?
Probably sparty. After their season and offseason, wouldn't you too?
LMAO. First comment on that twitter...
"So that means they [Cowboys] cut him, right?"
