Fab Five era is what I have deduced from the sneak peeks. Which is awesome.

...but I really wanted the Cazzie Russell's (except change the trim on shorts to match the top)
...oddly enough, these are kind of like the Michigan road football uniforms Harbaugh loves.

The only thing that worries me is that Nike will end up putting our "special pattern" on the back panel of the jerseys like almost every other school has been forcd into. Even though you can't see it on some colors, it looks ugly to me.

September 22nd, 2016 at 3:43 PM ^
I think that's a given. Otherwise, why would they even create the pattern and announce it in the roll out?
September 22nd, 2016 at 4:34 PM ^
Nike has gone to simple dri-fit jerseys for most of those schools...it's far less noticable on the new Duke and UK jerseys.
September 22nd, 2016 at 3:58 PM ^
Would love this to be the case... but if they go fab-5 era, how could they nail the football/basketball uniforms, but fuck up hockey so badly?
September 22nd, 2016 at 9:48 AM ^
Please just be simple designs. Also, I wish they would just scrap the white uniform. Wear blue at home and maize on the road (or vice versa).
September 22nd, 2016 at 9:51 AM ^
They've been around for a long time. Not as an every game thing, but once in a while, with maize/blue being the primary uniform colors. These aren't UNIFORMZ!!1!

1. I'm not aware of any school that has no home whites.
2. Tradition
3. They're gonna look great if they're Fab Five era.
September 22nd, 2016 at 10:12 AM ^
I have had this conversation with you a million times. For the last time, it's just my preference. Good god, man. I don't give a fuck about tradition. The home color should be the primary one, which is blue.
September 22nd, 2016 at 10:23 AM ^
Your preference is wrong.
September 22nd, 2016 at 10:26 AM ^
September 22nd, 2016 at 10:40 AM ^
Or mustard on a burger. It's just plain wrong...
September 22nd, 2016 at 12:37 PM ^
ALL THE CONDIMENTS!!!!!!
Seriously I love some Ketchup and STADIUM mustard on my dogs and burgers.

No, yours is wrong. See Bando's post.
September 22nd, 2016 at 10:35 AM ^
OMG LOL
Does no one know how to read?
September 22nd, 2016 at 12:30 PM ^
I really wish Michigan wore their blue jerseys at home and then split the road games between maize and white. Those blue jerseys are so beautiful.

NCAA basketball rules, Section 22, Article 4:
"Opposing team uniforms shall be of contrasting colors. The home team shall wear light game jerseys and game pants and the away team shall wear dark game jerseys and game pants."
A white uniform is necessary to ensure proper contrast if the opposing team is wearing something close to maize. Home uniforms cannot be blue.

I see you are having comprehension issues, too. As I stated, it's my PREFERENCE.
Also, why is that a rule for basketball and not any other sport? That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.
September 22nd, 2016 at 10:36 AM ^
Your preference is invalid. So...
September 22nd, 2016 at 10:37 AM ^
Right....because people don't have opinions. Got ya.
September 22nd, 2016 at 10:56 AM ^
no one is saying that.
You're stating your "preference" even though it is against NCAA MBB rules, so regardless of your preference, it isn't going to happen.
September 22nd, 2016 at 12:31 PM ^
A timeout?

September 22nd, 2016 at 11:20 AM ^
I'm not trolling. Some people are basically saying my opinion/preference is wrong, which is just absurd. Everyone has opinions.
September 22nd, 2016 at 12:02 PM ^
And you just happen to have one of those opinions that's literally wrong. Well done!
September 22nd, 2016 at 1:07 PM ^
I think you are wasting lifesppan. UM Sydney is going to weasel until the end of time about the fact that he didn't know the rules and so prefers that Michigan get penalized every game for illegal uniforms. Admitting mistakes isn't in his tool kit.
September 22nd, 2016 at 1:37 PM ^
I know the rule and have known it for years. It's just stupid. That's all I'm saying. Some of you folks just cannot accept that people have opinions. My first reply to that devotee guy stated that.
September 22nd, 2016 at 10:59 AM ^
I respect where you're coming from. My preference is for the hockey team to play in shoes instead of skates.
September 22nd, 2016 at 11:17 AM ^
Well he does come from a land down under, so maybe everything is bizzaro world there.
September 22nd, 2016 at 11:48 AM ^
September 22nd, 2016 at 12:21 PM ^
I prefer that Michigan touchdowns count as 10 points, but people keep telling me about rules and stuff. It's just my preference, I don't care about your "rules".
September 22nd, 2016 at 11:19 AM ^
"Also, why is that a rule for basketball and not any other sport? That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever."
The Official Rules for Major League Baseball:
Rule 1.11
b) A league may provide that
September 22nd, 2016 at 10:46 AM ^
You know what's interesting? We don't wear Maize on the road for big games anymore.
That stopped after 2012-13. I wonder if there was a rule change or it's just preference.
Maize on the road had been going on for a long time. The butt wipe game in 1993 at MSU was when we were in Maize.
September 22nd, 2016 at 11:01 AM ^
But the Maize uni seems to have become the Tournament jersey. Whether that's a preseason Maui thing, or the Big Ten tourney or NIT or the dance. I feel like Maize shows up in tournaments.
September 22nd, 2016 at 12:07 PM ^
It always kinda sorta has been, though the road blues often show up in conference tournament action and Michigan wore white for the first two rounds of the Final Four year. Some of that may have been a factor of playing VCU, though.
I like the idea of wearing maize as the road team on rare occasions, but it has always been a rare thing. Our blue uniforms are usually rather sharp. To me, it matters most in the NCAA tournament.
September 22nd, 2016 at 1:08 PM ^
September 22nd, 2016 at 12:03 PM ^
also think it is possible that the home team may be able to dictate whether the uniforms are of sufficient contrast to be worn if they are colors that somewhat deviate from the norm. Example, has anybody else noticed that, despite being "big game uniforms," we never wear maize on the road against OSU and MSU. We have worn them at Cameron, at Indiana, at Illinois. But I cannot rememeber ever wearing them at OSU and MSU. I think they may be able to dictate whether we can wear a road jersey that is arguably "light" in color.

Ever heard the term "home whites" in reference to basketball jerseys? Basketball wears whites at home, colors on the road.
September 22nd, 2016 at 10:34 AM ^
Oh yes, I have heard that term a thousand times.
