This would be a good game weekend to get some elite basketball prospects in. Jordan brand will definitely help with basketball recruiting if they attack it the right way.

Please just be simple designs. Also, I wish they would just scrap the white uniform. Wear blue at home and maize on the road (or vice versa).

I have had this conversation with you a million times. For the last time, it's just my preference. Good god, man. I don't give a fuck about tradition. The home color should be the primary one, which is blue.

NCAA basketball rules, Section 22, Article 4:

"Opposing team uniforms shall be of contrasting colors. The home team shall wear light game jerseys and game pants and the away team shall wear dark game jerseys and game pants."

A white uniform is necessary to ensure proper contrast if the opposing team is wearing something close to maize. Home uniforms cannot be blue.

Next.

"Also, why is that a rule for basketball and not any other sport? That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever."

The Official Rules for Major League Baseball:

Rule 1.11

b)        A league may provide that

(1) each team shall wear a distinctive uniform at all times, or

(2) that each team shall have two sets of uniforms, white for home games and a different color for road games.

You know what's interesting? We don't wear Maize on the road for big games anymore.

That stopped after 2012-13. I wonder if there was a rule change or it's just preference.

Maize on the road had been going on for a long time. The butt wipe game in 1993 at MSU was when we were in Maize.

But the Maize uni seems to have become the Tournament jersey.  Whether that's a preseason Maui thing, or the Big Ten tourney or NIT or the dance.  I feel like Maize shows up in tournaments.

It always kinda sorta has been, though the road blues often show up in conference tournament action and Michigan wore white for the first two rounds of the Final Four year. Some of that may have been a factor of playing VCU, though.

I like the idea of wearing maize as the road team on rare occasions, but it has always been a rare thing. Our blue uniforms are usually rather sharp. To me, it matters most in the NCAA tournament.

also think it is possible that the home team may be able to dictate whether the uniforms are of sufficient contrast to be worn if they are colors that somewhat deviate from the norm.  Example, has anybody else noticed that, despite being "big game uniforms," we never wear maize on the road against OSU and MSU.  We have worn them at Cameron, at Indiana, at Illinois.  But I cannot rememeber ever wearing them at OSU and MSU.  I think they may be able to dictate whether we can wear a road jersey that is arguably "light" in color.
