John O'Neil sighting

John O'Neil is now officiating for the XFL. Does that mean he has gone pro and is no longer eligible to work NCAA games? Please???

Watching NY vs. DC because it's football. Really bad football, but football. DC coach and offensive coordinator is Pep Hamilton. NY defensive coordinator is Jim Hermann.

These kickoffs are great, but the quality of play is painful to watch. Missed tackles, missed throws (McGloin and "Ain't Play School" Jones), receivers and DBs who can't catch. The best college vs. worst NFL argument is stupid, but I think a good college team would beat either of these teams. This is like watching a Sunbelt Conference game.

I think the quality of play all boils down to QB play. These are all guys who would be the 3rd or 4th QB into an NFL Preseason game, and it looks like such. The "face" of the league might be Landry Jones, and he didn't play week 1. I'll be interested to see if his team puts up points when he plays. All of these extra point scenarios have been underwhelming, because, well, nobody is scoring touchdowns often enough for it to matter. Maybe they should've had 3, 4, or 5 point FGs based on the width between retractable uprights.
