Maybe this is a reflection on Harbaugh. Maybe people were right when they said that he has a short shelf life.

Shane, Speight, Peters, Dylan, and Milton all transferred. That's five in six years. All three won the starting job their first season away albeit Shane dropped down to G5 and Speight got hurt.

Shea regressed significantly his senior year. Harbaugh gave him an unreasonably long leash for some reason.

This isn't about Milton. It's says much about Harbaugh than Milton.

Can't say I am really surprised; it seemed like one QB was likely to transfer with JJ coming in... I thought it would happen after spring camp.

Good luck to Joe. Has a ton of tools, if he can put them all together.

Wow.  Stunned and bummed, except congratulations to Joe for graduating from Michigan and thanks for giving his all while here for the football team.  He played hurt at times and hope he finds his form he had against Minnesota.  Good luck to him.  Do like Cade and what little I know about  JJ.

I'll be interested to watch all the big schools line up to acquire Cam Newton 2.0.

It will also be fun to see whether Dylan or he, is more successful.

Buh-Bye.

This transfer portal thing is only going to get a lot worse. It reminds me of back in the day when they opened up free agency in baseball. Gone were the days of counting on your team being your team for the foreseeable future. The game never really has been the same. It's a little different in college seeing that you are only there for a few years anyway but the impact will be just as big. Gone will be the days of guys fighting hard to beat out competitors for the same position. The first sign of adversity and boom, on to the next team. Can't blame the kids for wanting playing time but wish we'd see a little more desire to beat out the next guy by working harder and getting better. I coach girls softball and went to a coaches clinic where Hutch was speaking. Somebody asked her about the transfer portal and playing time and I'll never forget her response. She said when girls come to her and say they want more playing time she tells them, "If you want more playing time, play better!" A little old school but I think it says it all.

Hearing this take a lot. I don't follow. Are you suggesting that Milton didn't "work hard"?  There's no evidence to support that; indeed, much to support the opposite. Joe was a reputed "film room rat" who was kicked out of film study for over working and as many have echoed he graduated in 3 years. No this isn't about someone not working hard. This is about someone not believing in the program. And I for one can't blame him....at all.

wow... was not expecting that to happen.  He is a good teammate for the team and was hoping that he improves his vision to read the field like Cade did when he took over a couple of the games.  Joe will do great wherever he goes as long as he stays away from the suckeyes...
