Jim McElwain to Michigan as OC/WR Coach

Submitted by DJMich23 on
Per Sam Webb via Twitter. Still some ambiguity on his specific duties as the 10th assistant. Edit: Offensive Coordinator/Wr Coach (Per UMbig11.)

He also sells the shittiest sandwich known to man. He can't advertise a good sandwich, but he can guarantee you get your bland piece of shit fast. Jersey Mike's makes a good sub. It also sucks that there aren't any Potbelly stores in the deep south.

Jimmy John's put non-compete clauses in the employment agreements for their employees. completely unenforceable but dumb and probably scared more than a few people who had the misfortune of having to work there. which Wich or Jersey Mike's are both better.

Seems like a wasted opportunity with warriner on staff. I'd give him oline duties asap. Drev can be the assistant head coach/waterboy. I'm sure, like hoke, he's a good dude, but did he apologize to the oline for the past few years of coaching or that he'll be coaching them exclusively next year?

I’m interested the most in the terms of the contract. It feels like he should be pretty “hat in hand” in this negotiation with his history...and Fuck you, Michigan is still Michigan and this is a big opportunity for HIM. If he is making 800+K I think we were fucked.

thatd be outstanding - pederson, reich and crew installed a heck of a scheme and were lights out with the call sheet most of the year.

though ill believe any significant scheme and/or identity changes when i see them.  not that harbaugh cant be creative or borrow and adjust to fit his players strengths bc he can - it just seems like he knows what he wants to do and has some firm beliefs (apparently)
