Jim Hackett: For the first time in 7 years, there's a waiting list for tickets
In the course of being interviewed live by Dierdorf and Brandstatter, Jim Hackett just stated there is now a waiting list for season tickets, he said for the first time in seven years.
The hire of Harbaugh is already reaping financial rewards. Money very well invested.
ROI.
Exactly....based on attendance alone, the Harbaugh hire will be a great investment for Michigan athletics.
Gets it. Just a little bit.
Considering the clusterfuck that DB turned the program into, I'm surprised they sold as many season tickets as they did.
Here is the one thing that is "crazy" to me, though: in less than four months, Harbaugh and Hackett have undone seven years of David Brandon's damage to the program. Even when Harbaugh wins his first National Championship, I might see the rapid neutralization of Brandon's gross mismanagement to be the most impressive accomplishment of all.
I agree that when you consider why it was so low that it makes sense but I guess I was thinking in a bigger sense. If you would have told me that season ticket demand would evaporate at M 10 yrs ago I would have laughed at you. It's crazy in that I feel like I am finally waking up from what seemed like a bad dream.
Brandon was AD for less than five years.
Edit: Thought Justin replied to me.
Seeing the stadium being almost a third S&G was just appalling last year.

But that was really a separate issue - Michigan fans selling their tickets to OSU fans. The tickets had been sold in the first place but their original purchasers didn't keep them.
Went from a waiting list to a surplus in less than a decade, then back to a waiting list in 3 months. The power of Harbaugh
of destroying our enemies. Revenge? Why not. That's actually a very good word for it.
We will see champoinships again!

Sounds like someone took a JACKHAMMER to ticket availability.

BTW, I don't know if it's been mentioned but there was no RAWK played during the game today. Just the Michigan Marching Band. An actual college atmosphere - who'd a thunk it?
Yet there was that weird moment during the BTN broadcast when they said Harbaugh only wants music by Michigan artists played in the stadium, so... Maybe we're speaking too soon?
A welcomed development, though.
on football.
During warm-ups, but it was only Michigan artists. I thought it actually worked. The volume was noticeably reduced and they flashed a little artist info on the jumbo-trons for each new song. When was the last time you heard Iggy and The Stooges in Michigan Stadium? Never -- until today! It was great.
During warm ups they still played it, but to be honest, I think piped in music is fine as long as they don't play it after kickoff.
we rebounded nicely without you. . ." - U of M Fanbase to Dave Brandon
but sounds like Hackett blowing his own horn. Are we saying that folks thought RR, who'd done so well previously, was going to be a failure right out of the shoot? Hope springs eternal; I just hope we win some f'ing games.
