To kickoff the festivities I thought it would be a nice gesture to show our Irish opponents some well mannered honor by paying tribute to their school in a very imaginative and intriguing way! ON ICE! Enjoy the humiliation of one of college football's most oldest programs lmao http://youtu.be/tJNvbPjBOr8 I couldn't resist. This never gets old! BEAT THE IRISH!

Can't argue that.  But you lost to Weis, so theres that.

Don't forget the 47-20 game as well.  We also had you 36-20 and in 1943 it was 35-12.

(Don't try too hard fellas, I have thick skin and its good natured fun on this great game week)

In that case only 2 programs aren't  "regional programs" let's face it ND didn't want to join because of the cash, they're greedy but at least there is Texas to challenge them, now you've got to play Duke and Wake Forest as the conference changes will force some teams to squeeze ND out of their schedules.

You have to take care of your conference before you can worry about more, generally speaking.  So when the goal is the Rose Bowl, that doesn't mean we don't want to play for a MNC, it just means take care of the conference first and let everything else shake out.

Also I'm curious, are you personally (and your impression of other Notre Dame fans) excited to see the likes of Duke, UNC, and Wake Forest take the schedule instead of Michigan?  I understand that Clemson and Florida State may be highlights when they occaisonally make the schedule, but aside from the top couple teams in the ACC there isn't much there.

Ok, come on now.  B10 >> ACC.  That will only become more true as Michigan returns to where they usually are, as well as PSU.  Clemson, Miami, FSU, and VaTech vs. OSU, UM, PSU, Wisco, Nebraska.  Throw in MSU and Northwestern and sometimes Iowa and it's not even that close.

And I love America as much as anyone, but Navy is a cupcake.  App St. that year would have beat them.  Purdue?  Sure, they aren't the true baby seals of the world.  But they're basically name-brand cupcakes.  The Hostess of the cupcake world.  They look better and will give you a bit of a fight, but in the end it's still a double-digit spread.
