WTF?  The injury list...not the best.

I view Dwumfour as the key to the season, Kemp cannot keep playing so many snaps at NT, his body is not going to hold up.  DPJ is a luxury, we're fine at WR without him.

OT?  Mayfield now?  Ugh.

If I see them on the field then I'll believe they're ok.

I don't think we're not going to see much of DPJ and Dwumfour this season.

If Runyan doesn't play then his back is really messed up and we shouldn't expect him back soon either.

What's crazy is that Harabugh said that about DPJ and Dwumfour months ago and we all were in denial about it.  I know DPJ's injury seems like a different one, but who knows. Let's hope they get back.

Injuries on the line have a tendency to snowball as guys who aren't ready are forced to play and guys who are healthy have a much higher play count (Kemp).

This is all after 2 games against really small players on the lines, now we go against some real size, I hope no more injuries occur.

I really wish we had some insider info on how physical UM's practices are relative to other teams because there sure do seem to be alot of injuries from practices since Harbaugh has been here. And we know Harbaugh patterns himself after Bo in some ways so it wouldn't surprise me if practices are more physical than other teams. I get the merits of practicing hard, but on the other hand is the trade-off really worth it? As others have noted if you have to go without both starting tackles, etc this becomes almost an impossible game to win.

Not really.  We've been extremely fortunate on the injury front until this season.

And you want to talk about physical practices, they say that Nick Saban runs the most physical practices in the country at Bama.  And they say MSU is not far behind and they are regularly decimated with injuries.

We had better hope both tackles aren't out if we want to see the offense actually open it up. I doubt the offensive staff are going to be inclined to risk a still ailing Patterson taking alot of hits. Combine that with Wisconsin starting a true freshman at NT and you have a potential for the same bang your head against a wall gameplan from last week.

This is gonna sound weird and defeatist but just hear me out

If we play hard, risk injuries against Wisconsin and win - doesn't change east race.

If we lose - doesn't change east race.

Why not rest DPJ, Runyan, and Dwumfour 2 more weeks (Rutgers...yea). Then come back against Iowa and start lighting everyone on fire.

Sounds sensible to me.

I hear what you are saying but if you poll the fanbase, NOTHING is as important as beating OSU and winning the B1G east (and B1G in the championship game).

I contend that if we lose this game, beat OSU and win B1G championship, we will make it to CFP. Even if we dont, this season would be a success imho.

But it does change the east race.

Sure if we win out, we win the east either way. But if we lose one more game, we lose out to a one loss team, even if we beat them.

The winner in the east division has never had more than one loss. Three of the last four were decided by tiebreaks. A loss to Wisconsin wouldn't eliminate us, but it would put us at a significant disadvantage.

Damn, man. Was really hoping for better news on Runyan, DPJ and Dwumfiour. And then if Mayfield is banged up too, our OL situation all of a sudden looks a hell of a lot more dire.

Being thin in the trenches against a team like Wisconsin is a very sobering thought.
