Here's mine:

DPJ & Dwumfour:

They are both game day decisions. There is a short list of 4-6 players that need time to heel. Monday doesn’t mean squat. Practice by Weds or Thursday and you play under JH’s policy.

Shea is still sore but improving and is ready to go.
RB - Turner will play. Wilson is still questionable.
WR - DPJ very questionable, may not play. Schoenle questionable, doubtful.
OL - Runyan and Mayfield banged up. Both will try to play if they can.
DL - Dwumfour might give it a go, but doubtful.
LB - Ross is fine.

If Runyan is still “banged up,” is it safe to assume that he will remain that way all season?  I get that he had a back issue, but he hasn’t played in order to heal, correct?

Why isn’t it healing?  It is just odd, he is dressed and “could play” against MTSU, but we’re going on 3 weeks later and his status has not changed?  It is just a bit confusing to me.

So wait you could be banged up from the week before, be one of the most important players on the team, and you don't play unless you practice by Wednesday or Thursday?? Holy cow that is ass backwards in todays football atmosphere. At least I know why his teams nose dive in Nov and our kids are always so banged up late in the season.

I think it actually is the opposite of the way you are thinking about it.  I think the thought is if you cannot practice on something you should not be playing on it.  Harbaugh has shown they he will venture into the ethical “grey area” in things involving recruiting and personnel management, but I have seen no evidence at all that he is flippant or compromised when it comes to player safety.  If anything I think that his players think they are ready to return earlier than he does.

I really don't think that is the case. Gary's mom made a comment about it last year. Sometimes guys need an extra couple days to get healed up. It is an old school approach to football that doesn't vibe anymore. 85 scholarship limit plus kids being bigger, faster, stronger than 30 years ago has led coaches to being smarter with practice. There are some great podcasts and articles written on this subject from coaches who have scaled backed on their kids.

Some of you need to listen to the Saquan Barkley interview on how he never practiced at PSU. He did things off to the side all week then ready to go on Saturdays.

A couple years ago I remarked that there was either a New York Times or Wall Street Journal article relating to Rob Lytle's draft status and the comment that NFL teams were somewhat leery of Michigan players due to their practices being so tough that the players' bodies were worn down.

That was during Bo's reign. JH is a disciple.

Any thoughts on the intensity of our practices and the amount of injuries, particularly to key players?

Bo ran some hard practices. Remember before a bowl game Woody came up and Bo asked Woody what he thought. Woody said they were soft.

So how ye practices so how ye plays. Vince Lombardi.

In this modern day guys are bigger with speed. And they play the game they love. Get well soon to do what you love to do.

If I was coach and coming off of a bye week with an injured star receiver, against a very good team (on the road), I'd absolutely not tell them to prepare for him. DPJ "questionable and may not play" is good enough for me today. Saturday? hope to see him in uniform warming up on the field.

Mayfield was the rumored injury everyone was losing their minds about.  Sam Webb commented on that saying someone did get banged up, it was a hyperextension, but an MRI revealed no damage and no time was expected to be missed.

Webb didn't specifically say Mayfield, but it seemed clear that was his intent.

We have a 1,000 lb NFL caliber interior OL and Zach Charbonnet. We will notice when Wisconsin trots out their true freshman NT starter in their 3-4 defense. Either they will stack the box to help him & it opens up the edges & pass game, or they leave him on an island and we run it down his his throat.

Bottom line is it seems we are equally matched. Defenses have similar weaknesses. Our QB is better than theirs, but they have a healthier OL/OTs so their mediocre QB may have extra time in the pocket.

If the play callers QB isn't fumbling the ball all over the field, and his WR's aren't dropping everything thrown at them, I suspect we'll see an attack we haven't seen since Carr beat the shit out of Floriduh so many years ago...

Gattis saw, up close and personal, how Alabama closes out games.  He was part of that.  He was also part of PSU's Deep State attack that closed out games mercilessly.  Those lessons weren't lost on him, like Locksley would have you believe.

Now, I'm pretty sure you're talking about Harbaugh as the play caller.  But I'll say it - I think the two games we've seen were just weird circumstance football.
