If there's any game I'd be OK with losing this season, tomorrow is it (commence downvotes)
Hear me out:
- It's an early-season loss. That historically hurts way less than a late-season loss.
- It's non-conference.
- It's an offense we'll never see again all year, so telling of nothing.
- Army jumps into the top-25 with a win, and has a decent change of winning out. It should be expected at the very least that they'd be ranked throughout the season if they win tomorrow. So, not a "bad loss."
- Last and certainly not least, these are servicemen. I could never begrudge them no matter what.
For what it's worth, I still think Michigan wins by 2-3 scores, so go easy on me here.

I want Michigan to beat them badly. The game tomorrow is important to win.
Hear me out:
- The Army team cheats (cut blocks). Plain and simple. They get away with it. in part, because they are a service academy.
- Their style of play is a physical danger to other teams. It makes MSU's after the whistle twisting of heads look tame.
- They have inferior athletes. It is demoralizing and threatens confidence going into B10 season to lose to a vastly physically inferior foe.
- Hard to make the Playoff from the B10 with a loss and impossible with two. A loss tomorrow makes the rest of the season much harder for CPF hopes.
- I appreciate those who undertake a military duty, but to say one "could not begrudge them no matter what" exemplifies a blind deference that is not warranted. I wish things were that simple too.
For what it's worth, I still think Army makes it a very close game.

We lose today and seasons over. Not to be negative but there’s no way we get through this schedule without at least one more loss. Especially if those bastards at state college drop a whiteout game on us. They’re gonna be looking to embarrass us like we did them.
